WWE Superstar Possibly Injured on SmackDown, Might Miss WrestleMania

As a dedicated wrestling fan, I’ve got some intriguing news tonight. It appears one of WWE’s heavyweight champions, Rey Mysterio, might have suffered an injury during SmackDown. During tonight’s episode, American Made’s Chad Gable, Brutus Creed, and Julius Creed faced off against The LWO’s Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Rey Fenix, connected to Rey’s ongoing feud with El Grande Americano. In the heat of the match, it seems Mysterio took an unpleasant tumble that left him needing assistance from officials, as per @siradam03_’s video capture. If this injury proves severe, it could potentially keep Mysterio out of WrestleMania, but let’s hope for the best. Check out the video in the post below (via Fightful).

The officials assist Mysterio to move towards the back, however, midway through, they lift him off his leg entirely. At first, he seems to try putting weight on it, but soon adjusts. Let’s hope the injury isn’t too serious for him, and we wish Rey a quick healing process.

If Rey gets injured, it could alter the strategies for WrestleMania since his match against Chad Gable (also known as El Grande Americano) is scheduled for this coming Saturday. With limited time left for recovery, any injury—even a minor one—could potentially affect his participation in the match. However, if the injury seems manageable, he might still compete. But if there’s even a slight chance of additional harm, we may see another wrestler take his place instead.

A plausible scenario would be for a member of The LWO to replace Rey during their ongoing conflict with American Made. Given his proximity to the dispute, Dragon Lee seems like a strong contender. However, it’s also possible that WWE might bring in Rey Fenix, another individual linked to the feud. Regardless of who steps up, both superstars are likely to shine at WrestleMania, making either choice a winning one.
