Star Wars enthusiasts have been pleasantly surprised with not just one, but two free offerings, thanks to Star Wars Outlaws and Ubisoft. Star Wars Outlaws was launched in August of the previous year, and despite receiving negative critical reviews and failing commercially, it managed to sell over a million copies within its first month and found a niche among Star Wars fans. If you haven’t yet explored the Star Wars games from Massive Entertainment, the studio recognized for The Division series, now is your chance to rectify that, absolutely free of charge.
Just now, Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft have made available a complimentary demo of Star Wars Outlaws on all platforms – PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. This demo allows Star Wars enthusiasts to play the game for free, uninterrupted for three hours. However, the action is confined to the planet Tatooine. Interestingly, there’s no save game continuity across platforms in this demo, which is rather unusual as such a feature is usually included with demos.
Star Wars Outlaws spans approximately 18 to 35 hours of gameplay, depending on the exploration and additional activities you choose. In other words, a three-hour demo offers an extended sneak peek into this expansive open-world Star Wars title, but it represents just a fraction of the full game experience.
For owners of Star Wars Outlaws, there’s an additional treat coming up! At this year’s Star Wars Celebration, Ubisoft unveiled a fresh and complimentary cosmetic pack for Star Wars Outlaws, reminiscent of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. This special pack isn’t accessible until May 15th to coincide with the launch of the upcoming DLC, A Pirate’s Fortune. Here’s a picture that went along with the announcement:

It’s uncertain if Star Wars Outlaws demo owners will receive this free item or not, and it’s also unknown whether this offer is permanent or time-limited. Ubisoft has hinted at providing more information soon, so we might find out the details shortly. However, Ubisoft hasn’t shared many specifics about the release of this cosmetic pack yet.
