My Happy Marriage Season 2 Sets Finale Release Date After Several Delays

Following the premiere of Episode 11 from Season 2 on March 11th, the final episodes of “My Happy Marriage” were initially scheduled for release on March 24th (Episode 12) and March 31st (Episode 13), wrapping up the series before the Spring 2025 anime season. Unfortunately, due to production complications, the subsequent episodes were delayed, with Netflix not announcing a new release date for some time. However, it has now been officially confirmed that both final episodes will be unveiled simultaneously on April 25th. “My Happy Marriage” is a beloved shojo anime adaptation of Akumi Agitogi’s light novel series of the same name.

I was there for the premiere of the anime back in July 2023, and let me tell you, it quickly skyrocketed to become an adored series among fans. Its stunning visuals, engrossing narrative, and intriguing personalities made it a standout production.

As we move into Season 2, the intensity has reached new heights as the tale centers around Miyo’s journey of self-discovery, unveiling her role as an Usuba and Dream Sight Maiden. Bolstered by the encouragement of those close to her, she’s become more assured, and her skills have improved significantly.

The ride so far has been a whirlwind of emotions for both Miyo and the audience, with the couple grappling with various obstacles that seem to place them right in the heart of political scheming and power plays.

Starting from April 25th, the final two episodes of “My Happy Marriage” Season 2 can now be streamed on Netflix.

My Happy Marriage Season 2 Finale Will Feature the Main Couple’s Confrontation With Usui

In this narrative, Naoshi Usui is the central villain. He’s the creator and head of the Gifted Communion cult. Moreover, he’s the nephew of Miyo’s grandmother on her mother’s side and is the only known possessor of a unique power called Opinokinesis, which allows him to control the five senses. Usui debuts in season 2, with a quest for Miyo’s Dream-Sight ability. However, an unexpected twist unfolds as Arata Usuba, Miyo’s cousin, aids Usui in his pursuit. The story undergoes a significant shift upon Usui’s arrival, causing turmoil in the lives of all those connected to Miyo.

In the midst of everything, I’m utterly devastated as Miyo, for my beloved Kiyoka has been wrongfully accused of a heinous crime. Before they whisked her away, I poured out my heart to her, aching over not having expressed my feelings earlier. This latest chapter predominantly revolves around my desperate attempt to rescue Kiyo using my dream sight, with the aid of the Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit and Tadakiyo, as well as Kiyo herself. It was a daring move indeed, but our perseverance paid off when I finally managed to reunite with Kiyoka, who miraculously arrived in the nick of time to save me from a menacing monster.

The scene concludes with Miyo and Kiyoka encountering Usui and Arata, who are together. Usui merely acknowledges Miyo while disregarding Kiyoka, suggesting his dealings are solely with her. Following this intriguing twist, the actual conflict against the Gifted Communion starts in Episode 12 as the duo and their allies aim to thwart the villains’ plans. Given the delay in broadcasts, it makes sense that fans will be able to view two episodes simultaneously, wrapping up the current season. After this season concludes, there are plans for a second anime adaptation of “My Happy Marriage,” although the format – whether series or film – is yet to be determined.
