After a string of puzzling occurrences, it seems that nearly the entire reveal for an alleged Oblivion remake has been prematurely unveiled online. The leaks have provided a wealth of intricate screenshots showcasing the game’s world, now beautifully rendered in full high-definition quality.
As a result, various fan-created videos based on the same topic have emerged. One video, in particular, seems quite convincing at first glance, but upon closer inspection, its soundtrack selection gives it away as false.
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remake menu screen is fake, sadly
A post titled “Leak of Oblivion Remake’s Main Menu Screen” has been gaining popularity on the r/oblivion subreddit lately, and it appears to reveal a sneak peek of the remake’s initial menu or landing page.
Remarkably similar, the interface closely mirrors that of the PC version, complete with a widescreen adjustment. However, cranking up the volume significantly increases the intrigue.

This post clearly resembles a meme, featuring the authentic 2006 menu of the game with an enticing music selection – notably ‘Straight Outta Cyrodiil’, a widely recognized meme tune among fans of Oblivion.
For those who may not be familiar, this tune is a humorous imitation of the “Without Me” track from the 2002 album “The Eminem Show”. It’s safe to say that the artist behind it is none other than Eminem.
To clarify, this content clearly isn’t the official end product; it’s simply a fan-made concept.
Although it’s amusing, this result is regrettably unfavorable. In truth, enthusiasts were eagerly anticipating the expanded view of the leaked Oblivion remaster. However, presenting a meme might not be welcomed by many, much like the unexpected file size.
Despite some reservations, it’s important to acknowledge that a significant amount of information about the upcoming remake has been made public online. This leaked data provides a broader perspective on the project as a whole.
Everything we know about the Oblivion remake so far
Back in 2006, “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” was unveiled for personal computers, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 consoles. It represented a fresh installment in the “Elder Scrolls” video game series, merging an expansive open-world setting with role-playing game features that earned it a place among the all-time greats.

Approximately two decades following its initial release, a series of leaks suggest that the game is being rebuilt entirely, using a brand new engine. It appears that Virtuos Studios, an external developer with a history of working on numerous titles, including the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, is responsible for this development.
The leaks reveal a more intricate, bustling game environment with enhanced visuals (significantly improved compared to the initial release version of the game). Consequently, it’s anticipated that the game will also incorporate some minor quality-of-life upgrades, such as reducing loading screens and improving both combat and overall gameplay.
The part that’s really grabbing people’s attention about these leaks is the predicted timeframe for launch, which seems to be April 21, 2025. This appears to be a secretive launch, and there’s a strong possibility that it could be released on Game Pass very soon as well.
Regardless, all that remains is to wait and see what Bethesda has in store for us.
