She admitted that she felt nervous about the encounter, saying, “I thought I was going to walk into this building and burst into flames.” She brought him items from “Sister Act” as he had requested.
In a segment on The View, Goldberg dismissed the film as “silly”, but the Pope countered by saying, “A wonderful action for people is to assist them and bring them joy, as well as laughter.” Previously, Goldberg had playfully suggested on her Instagram Stories that Vatican City could serve as a location for the movie.
