Initially airing its anime adaptation in 2019, “The Rising of the Shield Hero” left both supporters and critics of the isekai genre astonished with its unique spin on the “transported to another world” motif. In spite of certain disputes, it effectively attracted a significant international following. After the triumphant debut of its first season, a second installment was promptly announced, but unfortunately encountered unspecified production problems that resulted in entire chapters from the source novels being omitted and abrupt changes in the storyline that left viewers perplexed.
