As a passionate movie enthusiast, I can’t help but feel a chill running down my spine as I anticipate the unfolding scenes, knowing that Nicola Mitchell’s (Laura Doddington’s character) dark past is about to catch up with her. Her secret of murder looms ominously, threatening to shatter the peaceful facade she has built around herself.

In another location, character Sophie Khan Levy (Priya Nandra-Hart) expresses her growing concerns about her distressed child Avani (Aaliyah James) by venting her frustration towards character Tony Clay (Callum Highway).

As newcomer Joel Marshall (Max Murray) makes his move, what’s next for Avani?

Johnny Carter (played by Charlie Suff) expresses his desire for something deeper with his newest love, Gina Knight, while Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) attempts to charm her affection, Francesca Henry.

1. Nicola Mitchell faces a reckoning over her murder secret

Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) presses Nicola for explanations regarding Shireen’s demise, and when Teddy emphasizes that their child Harry needs to understand the facts, Nicola expresses concern that it might upset him significantly.

Teddy holds back, yet young son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) senses there’s a secret shared by his parents, unknowingly causing Nicola to ponder.

Later on, Teddy locates Nicola and instructs her to halt her activities since he has a strategy in mind. Subsequently, Teddy halts his operations at the construction site, and he, along with Nicola, negotiate with Benji.

Nicola decides to sell Harry’s Barn to pay Benji, but then Teddy comes up with another solution.

Nicola is extremely surprised by what Teddy has done, which makes their current predicament quite complicated for both of them to handle.

But the situation unravels when Nicola is ambushed by an intruder while alone at Harry’s Barn.

There, Nicola faces a reckoning, but has someone found out that she had Shireen killed?

2. Priya Nandra-Hart lashes out and Joel Marshall makes a move on Avani Nandra-Hart

Avani is hanging out with Joel, which doesn’t impress her dad, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).

Later, Priya receives a call from Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), informing her that the authorities have decided not to pursue Avani’s report regarding her distressing body search.

Priya is worried about the potential impact of this new information on Avani, leading her to withhold sharing it. She also asks Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) to remain silent about it as well.

However, once Amy and Avani reconcile, it’s inevitable that the truth surfaces, leading to a distressed Priya lodging yet another complaint at the police station.

After Amy and Avani patch things up, whatever was hidden eventually comes to light, causing Priya to file another report with the police station.

In such moments when Priya becomes angered, it’s usually Callum who intervenes. At their residence, Avani gets enraged upon discovering her family had been dishonest with her, prompting her to leave in a fit of fury.

On a night meant for reconciliation through takeout, Priya allows Avani to extend invitations to her friends rather than spending the evening with Ravi as initially planned.

At the house, Amy, Denzel Dunes (portrayed by Jaden Legacy), and Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (acted by Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) are present with Avani, when Joel and Tommy Moon (depicted by Sonny Kendall) show up carrying alcohol. The young lads then begin to drink it.

Tom is made fun of by other boys regarding his inexperience with women, and Joel offers Tommy some concerning guidance instead.

At Harry’s Barn, I find myself simmering with anger once more as Callum and his crew make their entrance. With my emotions running high, I can’t help but lash out at them. However, it’s my dear friend Ravi who steps up to intervene.

The following day, a still-hungover Priya encounters Avani’s anger due to the argument with Callum. Later, Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) encourages Priya to acknowledge her mistake, leading her to offer an apology to Callum.

Later on, Priya gets motivated by some parenting guidance from Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter). Meanwhile, Avani negotiates with dealer Declan, and in a subsequent event, Joel intervenes to cover the costs when she is denied free weed.

Later on, Avani spends some time with Barney. However, when Joel and Tommy show up – invited by Avani herself – Barney feels a letdown.

In a different phrasing, when Barney criticizes Joel for his disrespectful remark about Avani, she’s not around to hear it, Joel then deceitfully makes Avani believe that Barney himself is the one who acted inappropriately.

Following her departure, Joel and Avani light up some marijuana, and Joel attempts to make a romantic advance towards her. What could be Avani’s response in this situation?

3. Johnny Carter confesses his feelings to Felix Baker

Johnny shares with his grandmother, Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe), that he harbors a desire for a deep and committed relationship with Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison).

However, Johnny feels let down when he invites Felix for an evening out, but Felix turns him down because he’s already committed to another date.

The following day, Johnny is pleased when he hears that Felix’s date was a disappointment.

Instead of “The pair agree to have a movie afternoon together,” you could say: “They decide to spend the afternoon watching movies together.”

As for “just as Johnny is gearing up to ask Felix if they can be a couple, Elaine, Gina, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) barge in and interrupt them!”, you could rephrase it like this: “Suddenly, while Johnny was about to propose the idea of becoming a couple with Felix, Elaine, Gina, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) burst in, disrupting their moment.

The following day, Johnny finds himself in a position where he can openly discuss his feelings with Felix. However, I wonder what Felix’s reaction might be when Johnny reveals his emotions.

It appears that the romance on EastEnders may not last long, as the show has announced that the character played by Felix actor Morrison will be departing from the BBC soap.

4. Harry Mitchell asks Gina Knight for a date

Harry offers some relationship tips to his newest colleague, Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho), prior to him attempting to engage with Gina in a romantic manner.

Harry later asks Kojo to put in a good word for him with Gina.

Gina is not impressed, but Harry eventually manages to get her to agree to a date.

Will Harry be able to win Gina round on their date?

We’ll also see Anna head to The Albert to try to mend her relationship with Gina.

Ever since it was discovered that Gina was involved with Freddie Slater, who Anna had deep affection for, the girls have noticeably changed their dynamics.
