I, Jack Wright Star: They’re ALL Terrible People!

The new U&Alibi drama titled “I, Jack Wright” hails from the mastermind behind Unforgotten. It tells the story of a family who are thrown into turmoil following the sudden death of their affluent matriarch or patriarch under mysterious circumstances. The twist comes when they discover an unexpected and shocking will.

Among the main characters, Emily is portrayed by Ruby Ashbourne Serkis. She’s hinted that her character might not be particularly likable, and judging from the rest of the family, this might hold true for them too.

Although it’s not something I usually share, I found myself observing her and thinking, ‘Wow, she can be quite challenging. She seems rather bothersome at times.’

However, she has valid explanations for her actions. One intriguing aspect of the series is that each character is deeply flawed. Despite being despicable individuals, they are all damaged in unique ways, primarily due to the impact of Jack Wright on their lives.

Ashbourne Serkis went on to say, “It shows up in various forms, making them all self-centered and unkind, and for Emily, there’s a thick wall that often leaves one guessing about her true feelings.

* It seems she always has some plan or purpose, and to a degree this is true, yet she’s also tough-minded and quick-witted, and there’s quite a bit of her grandfather’s traits reflected in her.

or

* She often appears to have an underlying objective, and indeed she does, but what makes her special is her determination and intelligence, qualities that remind me greatly of her grandfather.

In addition to Ashbourne Serkis, the actress playing Georgia Wright in the series, Zoë Tapper, is equally enthusiastic about portraying her character’s wicked side. She describes Georgia as being both unpredictable and ruthless.

She requires a lot of attention, placing great importance on her appearance, and she is simply charming, was her remark. The moment I encountered her in writing, I instantly fell for her, and some of her witty remarks are truly priceless.

Featuring alongside Ashbourne Serkis and Tapper in the series are actors such as Trevor Eve, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Gemma Jones, John Simm, Daniel Rigby, Rakhee Thakrar, Harry Lloyd, Liz Kingsman, James Fleet, Sabrina Bartlett, and Percelle Ascott.

The series also includes Ashbourne Serkis and Tapper as part of a star-studded cast that comprises Trevor Eve, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Gemma Jones, John Simm, Daniel Rigby, Rakhee Thakrar, Harry Lloyd, Liz Kingsman, James Fleet, Sabrina Bartlett, and Percelle Ascott.
