Warhorse Studios’ Next Game Will Be Developed In Parallel With Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC

Summary

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will have three major story expansions by the end of the year.
  • Warhorse Studios is planning to increase their team and develop another RPG game alongside Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
  • The studio’s next project will stick to its expertise in developing deep, emotional, story-based RPGs.

In the remaining period of this year, it’s expected that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will see the introduction of three significant story updates. The initial one, named ‘Brushes with Death,’ might be available for play much sooner than anticipated.

Even before the initial DLC (Downloadable Content) release, Warhorse Studios has hinted at the potential themes for their upcoming project, and rest assured, they’re staying true to their expertise.

Warhorse Studios Teases Its Next Project, And It Sounds A Lot Like It Will Be Leaning On Its Kingdom Come: Deliverance Expertise

In a recent chat with GameSpark (a Japanese media outlet), Tobias Stolz-Zwiling, PR manager at Warhorse Studios, Vladimir Mareček, the narrative designer, and Hisami Kawatani, a concept artist, revealed how the company has transformed during the creation process of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

In the process of creating Kingdom Come: Deliverance, our team initially consisted of roughly one hundred individuals. However, we’ve since grown to a team of 250 members. A significant number of these new additions are currently focusing on expanding and debugging additional DLC content. This was shared by Stolz-Zwiling before discussing the team’s future plans.

He mentioned that our goal is to expand our development team to around 300 members and simultaneously work on another Role-Playing Game (RPG), alongside the ongoing Kingdom Come: Deliverance project. However, it’s not finalized yet, but when we move forward with production, we aspire to continue crafting immersive, emotionally resonant, cinematic, story-driven RPGs.

We would like to continue to create deep, emotional, cinematic, story-based RPGs.

Deliverance 2 is still underway. Secondly, what really caught my attention is their commitment to sticking with a familiar genre for their upcoming project, which I can’t wait to dive into!

Given the resounding success, both critically acclaimed and commercially profitable, of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, it’s a shrewd decision, and I can hardly wait to discover what the team has in store for us.
