Country music is taking over the California desert.
Enthusiasts and famous personalities were drawn to the annual Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California. Notable artists such as Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll, and Luke Combs are scheduled to spearhead an impressive roster including Shaboozey, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, and Sturgill Simpson.
On a heated Friday night, Lizzo and Paris Hilton graced Diplo’s HonkyTonk stage. Sporting a sleek black lingerie ensemble with a choker necklace, Lizzo, the “Truth Hurts” singer, was the talk of the event.
As for Paris, she embraced the country twang with her kids Phoenix, 2, and London, 17 months.
She posted on Instagram, “Back in the desert again for my first time at a rodeo.” “I’m teaching Phoenix to greet with ‘Howdy.’
The three-day festival, happening from April 25th to the 27th, will also feature Lana Del Rey performing after her headlining act at the Coachella Music Festival in 2024. She’s expressed her eagerness to present a more personal concert at Stagecoach while working on her upcoming album, which is anticipated to signify her debut into country music.
She expressed in an Instagram video posted on April 11th that she’s well aware of how incredible it was for us to headline Coachella last year, and even more so that we get to perform at the end of the night at Stagecoach this year on a smaller stage. My band and I are all thrilled, and I’m genuinely excited about the progress of this album.
Previously gracing the Stagecoach stage in 2023, Nelly is set to return for the festival’s 25th anniversary, marking a special celebration of his debut album “Country Grammar”. Over the years, this Grammy winner has left an indelible mark on country music with popular crossover hits such as “Over and Over” (with Tim McGraw in 2004) and the remix of “Cruise” (collaborating with Florida Georgia Line in 2013). Nelly’s affection for country music is no secret, having openly expressed his love and admiration for the genre.
In an interview with Billboard in 2021, he expressed gratitude for one thing his fans provide: the freedom to express himself musically without being confined to a specific genre.
Moreover, it’s worth noting that Diplo, Backstreet Boys, T-Pain, and Creed aren’t the only genre-blending artists performing. In fact, they’ll be part of a vibrant cross-genre late-night lineup, ensuring the festivities continue long into the night.
