Fantastic Four’s Heroic Secret REVEALED! You Won’t Believe How Long They’ve Been Saving the World!

Prepares to step into a fresh universe, as it receives the graphic novel adaptation prior to its highly anticipated cinema debut. The comic spinoff encompasses various intricacies concerning Marvel’s original team, with details revealing the precise point at which the noble foursome resumes their heroics.

As per recent reports, Marvel’s announcement on April 25th about “The Fantastic Four” has set the initial timeline for the team in the opening film of Phase Six within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The report suggests that the one-shot titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” doesn’t depict their origin, but instead starts four years after they gained their heroic status. In other words, by the time the movie begins, The Fantastic Four will already be a well-established superhero team having acquired their powers four years prior.

For the first time, a comic book series titled “First Steps” is being released, written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by Marc Buckingham. This marks the debut of an MCU superteam getting their own comic book. The comic, due for release on July 2nd, will take place in the same timeline as the film and will be presented in a way that makes it appear as if it’s an actual part of the universe, much like the “Ant-Man” comic “Look Out for the Little Guy“. Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski has expressed excitement about this development, stating that it’s a great way to unite our teams and honor the legacy of these characters in both the movie world and the comics universe.

Marvel has made a concerted effort to make First Steps stand apart from the previous four big-screen adaptations of The Fantastic Four, including the 2005 original titled “Fantastic Four” and its sequel “Rise of the Silver Surfer” in 2007. Unlike these films, First Steps is set during the Space Race of the 1960s. Pedro Pascal portrays Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, accompanied by Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).

Despite maintaining its comedic roots, the film “First Steps” presents some unique twists, such as introducing a female Silver Surfer named Shalla-Bal (portrayed by Julia Garner). This marks an uncommon instance of a Marvel character’s gender transformation within the MCU. Garner appears thrilled about her role and is open to exploring a standalone story for the character. On the other hand, Ralph Ineson joins the cast as another villain in Galactus. Moreover, esteemed actors John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts in unspecified roles.

Thunderbolts* Will Conclude Phase Five

In the movie titled “Thunderbolts*, First Steps“, the featured team endeavors to protect their retro-futuristic counterpart of Earth from the destructive duo Galactus and Shalla-Bal, his herald. There are whispers that Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Doctor Doom, might make a surprise appearance in this film, paving the way for the events depicted in “Avengers: Doomsday” and its sequel, “Secret Wars“.

First Steps opens in theaters on Jul. 25.
