Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters Drops June 20th with Star-Studded K-Pop Soundtrack

This summer, a visually striking new movie is coming to Netflix streaming service, and after much anticipation, “KPop Demon Hunters” has officially announced its release date. On June 20th, the animated film “Demon Hunters” from the KPop genre will debut on Netflix. This production is brought to you by Sony Pictures Animation. Directed by Maggie Kang (also credited for the story) and Chris Appelhans, who collaborated on the script with Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan, the film boasts an original score by Marcelo Zarvos and original music by Danny Chung, IDO, Vince, KUSH, EJAE, Jenna Andrews, Stephen Kirk, Lindgren, Mark Sonnenblick, and Daniel Rojas. The soundtrack will also feature several well-known artists. Teddy Park, 24, IDO, DOMINSUK, Jenna Andrews, Stephen Kirk, Lindgren, and Ian Eisendrath are responsible for producing the original music.

Apart from featuring an exclusive song by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung from TWICE, the movie “KPop Demon Hunters” will also showcase original performances by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami, Andrew Choi, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, samUIL Lee, Neckwav, and Lea Salonga. Titled “KPop Demon Hunters,” this exciting series boasts a talented voice cast, with Arden Cho portraying Rumi, Ahn Hyo-seop as Jinu, May Hong as Mira, and Ji-young Yoo as Zoey. Other notable figures like Yunjin Kim, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Byung Hun Lee are also part of the ensemble, with their roles yet to be confirmed. The plot promises a thrilling ride as we follow Kpop sensations Rumi, Mira, and Zoey who, when not filling stadiums, utilize their secret identities to combat supernatural threats faced by their fans. In their newest battle, they must confront an unprecedented adversary: a charming boy band of demons in disguise.
