In “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered,” having the Armorer Skill proves incredibly beneficial since it enables you to mend your weaponry and armor, ensuring they remain in top condition.
It’s advantageous that you can utilize your Armorer Skill anywhere, provided you possess a minimum of 1 Repair Hammer. Keep in mind, however, that the skill’s effectiveness increases with your level. Aiming for maximum proficiency early on will help ensure your equipment stays in top shape at all times.
Read on and we’ll tell you how to repair your equipment, as well as how to level up Armorer fast!
How to Repair Weapons & Armor and Level Up Armorer Skill | Oblivion Remastered
In the game Oblivion Remastered, there are two methods for repairing weapons. One of these techniques involves utilizing your Armorer Skill, which necessitates acquiring Repair Hammers. These can be discovered as random loot throughout Cyrodiil, or you can purchase them from a majority of merchants.
Once you have a Repair Hammer, find it in the Miscellaneous section of your Inventory and use it.
Here’s your menu, where you can choose any piece of equipment with less than 100 Durability for repair. Once chosen, confirm your selection! Your equipment will receive a random amount of durability points restored. Be aware that there’s a chance your Repair Hammer might break during the process, unless you’ve reached Level 100 in Armorer.
It’s important to take note that attempting to fix items similar to this one will enhance your Armorer skill, regardless of whether you succeed or not in the repair. Your skill will still progress!
Instead of increasing your Armorer Skill, feel free to choose “Repair” whenever conversing with a Smith Non-Player Character (NPC), like Urbul gro-Orkulg in the Imperial City. This option lets you repair your gear by simply paying the NPC, but remember that it won’t boost your Armorer Skill at all. Keep this point in mind during gameplay.
Leveling Armorer Fast
It’s most advantageous to fix your equipment yourself when your Armorer Skill is at its highest. Doing so minimizes repair hammer limitations and prevents them from being damaged. In the long term, this can save you a significant amount of money! There are generally two primary approaches to enhancing this skill.
As a gamer, I always keep at least 10 Repair Hammers on me at all times. Whenever I find new loot that I’m thinking of selling, I make sure to repair it first. And don’t forget, regularly repair your own gear too as needed. It might take some time, but this subtle method helps with leveling up.
You can also advance your skill level if you possess the ability to craft spells. This approach is budget-friendly as it only necessitates a single Repair Hammer. To initiate this method, utilize Spellcraft to create two spells with the following properties:
- Disintegrate Armor 80 points for 1 second on Self.
- Fortify Armorer 100 points for 1 second on Self.
Whenever you experience those enchantments, utilize the Disintegrate Armor spell until every piece of your armor is completely shattered. Subsequently, employ the Fortify Armorer spell and use your solitary Repair Hammer to restore all the equipment that you’ve just damaged. Keep repeating this process until you reach Level 100!
In summary, you now have all the knowledge required to fix and enhance weapons and armor, along with strategies for swiftly improving your Armorer Skill in Oblivion Remastered. Are you interested in mastering Alchemy as well? Take a look at our guide on obtaining the Master Alchemy Tools promptly.
