How to Unlock the Blacksmith in Soulframe (& How it Works)

In case you’re diving into the world of Soulframe, it’s likely you’re feeling a bit lost. Don’t worry, that’s perfectly normal given the game’s dense lore, poetic language, peculiar names, and intricate systems that aren’t immediately clear. However, this is part of the allure and mystery of the game. One key aspect you should get acquainted with is the Ancestors system. As you traverse Midrath, you’ll encounter some ghostly entities who will join your Nighthold and offer their assistance. In Soulframe, one character to keep an eye out for is Tuvalkane, the Blacksmith – we’ll guide you on how to unlock him.

Finding the Blacksmith

Locating the Ancestor to assist you may prove tricky, as finding them is the key hurdle. To discover the Blacksmith within Soulframe, follow this route: Journey southeast from the starting zone and search for a crater encircled by adversaries and a cannon. For clarity, here’s how we pinpointed the Fable breadcrumb trail:

The main obstacle in getting Ancestor to lend a hand is tracking them down. To unearth the Blacksmith within Soulframe, proceed southeast from your initial location and seek out a crater that’s surrounded by enemies and equipped with a cannon. In other words, we managed to trace the Fable breadcrumb trail by:

1. Venturing southeast from our starting point in Soulframe.
2. Keeping an eye out for a crater enclosed by adversaries and armed with a cannon.

  1. From the starting area, head west and follow the river north.
  2. Keep going until you find the second World Tree (marked on the image above).
    • Interact with the World Tree to remove the map’s fog.
  3. Walk east, past the village, until you reach the crater (you can see the location on the above image).
    • An easy way to locate the crater is by following the lightning strikes (they will point you toward the crater).

Starting ‘The Steelsinger’ Fable

Upon reaching your destination, eliminate all adversaries and make your way to the heart of the crater where the cannon is positioned. There, you’ll spot a helmet lying on the ground. Picking it up will initiate the Fable, which is essential for unlocking the Blacksmith within Soulframe.

Reminder: You need to take the helmet to a designated spot on the map. In case you’re playing alone, you have an option to put down the helmet somewhere if you want to engage in combat. However, if you’re playing with another player, they can hold onto the helmet while you focus on fighting.

After someone in your group brings the helmet to the specified spot, put it on the anvil (forge) and allow the scene to unfold naturally. This will grant you access to Tuvalkane the Blacksmith within Nighthold.

Using the Blacksmith

As per routine, make your way towards the blue light to generate your new Ancestor into the Nighthold. Upon the arrival of Tuvalkane, you’ll be granted access to a crafting interface displaying various weapons, armor, and items that can be produced. Nevertheless, it is crucial to remember several aspects:

1. Approach the blue light regularly to bring your Ancestor into the Nighthold.
2. Once Tuvalkane materializes, you’ll obtain access to a crafting menu showcasing available weapons, armor, and items for creation.
3. Remember these key points when crafting:
– Ensure you are familiar with the required materials.
– Prioritize creating the most beneficial equipment for your character.
– Be mindful of any restrictions or limitations on crafting specific items.
4. Proceed accordingly and enjoy the benefits of your crafted gear!

  • If you want to raise your bond with this ancestor, only craft unique items. Duplicates won’t work to raise your bond with Tuvalkane. In other words, do not craft the same Polearm 20 times.
  • Tuvalkane can help you craft items to change your faction.
  • You can edit your weapon’s Joinery for added effects, such as increased damage.

Beyond this, feel free to let your creativity run wild! Whether it’s forging a fresh suit of armor or designing a brand new weapon, remember that it will require both time and resources.
