Recently, I find myself spending most of my gaming hours in Call of Duty‘s Warzone instead of Black Ops 6. I’ve dabbled in multiplayer mode, but I’ve predominantly been engaged in the battle royale setting, a departure from my usual habits.

In recent weeks, a significant chunk of my gaming time has been devoted to the Resurgence map of Rebirth Island rather than Verdansk’s return. However, the major reason for this shift is that I’ve begun to understand its mechanics better.

1. Learn the basics of playing the game: Understand the controls, maps, and objectives to get started effectively.

2. Avoid getting wiped out quickly by other players: Practice positioning, situational awareness, and quick decision-making skills to stay alive longer in a fight.

3. Adjust your loadout for your preferred play style: Experiment with various weapons, attachments, and equipment that match your preferred tactics and strategies on the battlefield.

4. Utilize the Volzhskiy Reflex optic: This sight is beneficial for players who prefer close to medium-range engagements due to its fast aim down sight speed (ADS) and minimal distortion, providing a clearer view of your surroundings.

As an analyst, I’ve observed numerous streamers employing a particular tool in Warzone, often favoring items with greater zoom myself. However, after just a handful of matches, my perspective shifted dramatically.

Overall, when it comes to Call of Duty, I primarily use Assault Rifles. I’m not agile enough, or skilled enough, for close-range encounters, particularly in Warzone. Therefore, I aim to keep my distance as much as feasible when playing.

In the past, when I attempted to play Warzone, I tended to choose optics that had at least 2 times magnification for a clearer view. The benefit was a greater viewing distance and reduced risk, but unfortunately, it didn’t yield the desired results.

The Volzhskiy Reflex effectively addresses the issue at hand. It has a compact design, offering an exceptionally clear and expansive view. Moreover, although its magnification is slight, it excels in helping you align targets precisely, all while maintaining a broad field of peripheral vision.

With my preferred blue dot sight, reminiscent of Warzone, I can undoubtedly deliver precise shots. This tiny dot eliminates any excess visual disturbance, ensuring my aim remains clean and focused.

Using a scalpel is more precise than the large, colorful markers, crosshairs, or extravagant aiming sights that are available in this game.

The final outcome provides a distinct perspective on your objectives, whether they are static or in motion. This is made effortless due to the expansive field of vision through the scope, allowing seamless movement alongside them.

If you pair it with a specific perk, as well, it really juices up.

Add Tracker to make targets even easier to, well, track

What really juiced up my Warzone game was pairing the Volzhskiy Reflex with the Tracker perk.

Equipping this item means that when you cause harm to an opponent, their whole body will become conspicuous. With the clarity provided by the Volzhskiy Reflex scope, this feature is undeniably invaluable.

In Warzone, particularly Resurgence mode, its rapid pace has left me struggling to accurately aim at moving targets using the current setup.

For me, this specific optical attachment and, to some extent, its bonus feature, have significantly transformed my Battle Royale experience in Warzone. Now, I’m notching up more kills since the improved sight allows me to accurately target my opponents with fewer visual hindrances obstructing my view.
