Ryan Seacrest misses his other half.
Two years following Ryan’s departure from the co-host seat on Live! with Kelly Ripa, after Mark Consuelos stepped in to replace him, Ryan looked back on that past phase of his life.
Ryan shared with TopMob News during American Idol’s Top 14 episode on April 28 that he really enjoys that show. He said he had a great time working on it and maintains close friendships with both Kelly and Mark.
Of course, Ryan isn’t against revisiting his past.
Mark and Kelly have extended an invitation for me to join them in a fortnight,” the 50-year-old expressed excitedly. “I’ll definitely be there, it’s going to be amazing with the three of us. Following his departure from Live!, where he served for a period of six years, the host of Wheel of Fortune confessed that saying goodbye to Kelly was the most challenging aspect of his exit.
2023: Ryan shared with TopMob News that he would deeply miss the daily companionship of Kelly. They’ve grown very close, being more than just friends, and will continue their friendship. However, it’s the hour-long exchange with her that he’ll miss the most. Those conversations are filled with excitement, laughter, and shared moments that often slip his memory afterward.
Meanwhile, Kelly, who’s spent 28 years married to Mark, discovered an ideal substitute for her old co-host in him. However, it’s important to note that she had expressed great affection for working alongside Ryan before.
In 2023, Kelly expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the six years spent with her longtime friend, Ryan, in a statement to TopMob News. She will dearly miss sharing each morning with him. “Ryan’s unique energy, enthusiasm, and affection for entertainment is truly unparalleled,” she added.
As for Mark, he was more than honored to take the Live! baton from his pal.
After the announcement of Ryan’s new role, Mark expressed that their connection is quite strong, stating, “We’re practically family, more like brothers.
