Against the Storm coming to PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on June 26

Developer Eremite Games, in collaboration with Publisher Hooded Horse, will unveil the dark fantasy city builder game titled “Against the Storm” for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on June 26th. This announcement was made by both parties.

Initially debuting in Early Access on PC on November 1, 2022, “Against the Storm” finally had its complete release on December 8, 2023. You can find it on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, as well as through Game Pass.

In this game, you’ll construct a city in a grim fantasy setting, as the appointed regent, where the world has been devastated by relentless downpours. Your task is to restore civilization, rallying humans, beavers, lizards, foxes, and harpies together, to reclaim the overgrown wilderness and safeguard the future for the remnants of humanity.

In the role of the Viceroy, you are tasked by the Scorched Queen to restore the wilderness and uncover hidden treasures for the Smoldering City, the final stronghold of civilization amidst the devastation brought by the Blightstorm that annihilated the old world. Unlike traditional survival city builders where your concentration is solely on one city, in Against the Storm you will construct a vast, thriving network of settlements inhabited by various fantasy races, each with unique specializations and requirements.

The wilderness conceals numerous risks, and relentless tempests could crush your settlements. If disaster strikes and your colonies crumble, the voyage may conclude—yet the game persists. Against the Storm is a roguelike city-building game, which means that you’ll bring along the resources, enhancements, and knowledge gained from previous expeditions every time you embark on a fresh adventure into the untamed wilderness.

Manage a Diverse Population of Villagers

In this world where foxes, beavers, lizards, and humans coexist with mythical creatures like harpies, you’ll find yourself managing a diverse group in their ongoing battle for survival. The pressure mounts as the Scorched Queen anticipates continuous advancement from you, and Blightstorms recurrently threaten your establishments. You must maintain your standing to guarantee success at each settlement before moving forward to found another.
