Splitgate 2 open beta test launches May 22

1047 Games has revealed that they will start an open beta testing phase for “Splitgate 2” on May 22, making it available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam.

1047 Games invites you to join the excitement of Splitgate 2, the most thrilling sports game of tomorrow! Prepare for the start of its Open Beta on May 22, where portals and first-person shooter action await you.

This distinctive free-to-play shooting game is now available for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Cross-platform play is supported on all devices.

As shown in the teaser, the Open Beta will have:

• Over 25 Weapons – Featuring the brand new Borealis, an energy carbine power weapon
• Over 15 Maps – Including two new massive 24-Player Onslaught maps, Drought and Fracture
• Over 10 Modes – With fan-favorite Takedown making its triumphant comeback, where teams battle to eliminate all members of the opposing team before they can respawn

1047 Games hinted at the concept of endless map expansions. They plan to clarify this and provide a comprehensive overview of all features in Splitgate 2’s Open Beta as we approach May 22.
