Following the public revelation of the “Golden Bachelor’s” budding relationship with a lady known as Lana, Theresa – who finalized her divorce from Gerry last year – voiced her positive sentiments about their adorable bond.
In my perspective, as shared with Us Weekly during our conversation on the 29th of April, I sensed an underlying yearning in him for someone special to share his love with once more. Reflecting on our phone conversation, I remember him sharing, “I wanted to make sure you knew I’ve met someone.” In response, I expressed my delight, saying, “That’s fantastic! I couldn’t be happier for you.” He seemed apprehensive, confessing, “I was hesitant to tell you.” To which I replied, “Why should there be any fear? My wish is for your happiness above all else.” If this encounter was destined to lead him towards his partner on the show, marriage, and eventually finding love again, then it was undoubtedly meant to unfold just as it did.
Despite Theresa and Gerry, who disclosed his diagnosis of incurable bone marrow cancer in December, separating just three months into their marriage in April 2024, the financial services expert considers their journey unfolded as it should have.
She mused that it was something she didn’t enjoy, dwelling on past decisions she might regret. Yet, she conceded, if they had delayed their actions, it likely would have been the wise choice.
