Valorant Patch 10.08 – Everything you Need to Know

The latest update, Valorant Patch 10.08, has arrived! In honor of Valorant’s fifth birthday, Riot Games is showering us with an array of changes, including nostalgic tunes, a fresh gifting mechanism, and crucial adjustments to our favorite agents. This patch serves as the groundwork for an enticing Act III and a competitive build-up to the rewards for Season 2025!

For both seasoned players and newcomers, here’s an all-encompassing summary of what’s new in Valorant Update 10.08.

Valorant Patch 10.08 Brings Back Episode 1 Music

Reminiscing strongly today! To mark the fifth anniversary of this game I adore, Riot is bringing back beloved tunes from the early days – Episode 1’s anthems to be precise. You’ll hear them again in the main menu, agent select screen, and even during those triumphant or tough moments of victory or defeat.

The new music is set to be released during Patch versions 10.08 and 10.09, which should bring back the original Valorant atmosphere for you to enjoy.

Gifting Is Now Live in Valorant Patch 10.08

Among the notable enhancements added in Patch 10.08, there’s finally the much anticipated feature called the sharing system. This allows players to gift items to each other, enhancing their overall gaming experience.

How to Gift in Valorant:

  1. Head to the Store
  2. Select a Featured bundle or item
  3. Click the Gift button (bottom-right corner)
  4. Choose your friend (note: restrictions apply)
  5. Select full bundle or individual items
  6. Click Send

Users will have an opportunity to either accept or pass on presents when they next sign in. At present, giving gifts is only available for items featured in the store, however, Riot Games has hinted at additional gifting options being introduced shortly.

Ranked Gun Buddy Reminder – Last Act Before Rewards

In the third act, things are now active! This is your last opportunity to secure your position before teammates for ranked play (in Patch 11.00) are assigned.

In Season 2025, your final position in all three acts will decide your prize. Therefore, if you’re thinking of putting in a final effort for rankings, it’s time to jump into the queue.

Agent Changes in Valorant Patch 10.08

A few key agents are getting updates this patch, mostly for gameplay clarity and ability balance.

Brimstone

  • Incendiary (Molotov): Sound is now easier to hear, especially under smokes. This change helps opponents detect when they’re standing in Brim’s fire.

Astra

  • Nova Pulse: Stun duration reduced from 4s to 3.5s to bring it in line with similar non-ultimate concussive effects.

Yoru

  • Dimensional Drift (Ultimate):
    • Duration: 12s → 10s
    • Point cost: 7 → 8
    • This change reflects the high value of the ultimate and standardizes it with similar abilities.

Major Bug Fixes in Valorant Patch 10.08

Several long-standing bugs and agent glitches have been addressed. Highlights include:

  • Waylay: Fixed reactivation bug with Refract
  • Deadlock: Audio & boosting exploit on Barrier Mesh patched
