Disney has revealed a fresh sneak peek for its highly-awaited reboot of the popular series. Initially broadcasting its first four seasons from 2007 to 2015 on both Disney Channel and Disney XD, the show resumes airing on June 5.
According to reports, Disney’s sneak peeks showcase the main characters of Phineas and Ferb: specifically, Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher, along with other recurring figures like their sister Candace and the antagonist Dr. Doofenshmirtz. The creators of the series, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, are still at the helm. The new season will debut on both Disney Channel and Disney XD this Thursday, June 5. Two episodes will air initially. Additionally, these episodes will be accessible on the Disney Channel YouTube channel the same day. The first ten episodes of the season will become available on Friday, June 6, exclusively on Disney+ in the U.S. (as well as certain international markets).
The new season of “Phineas and Ferb” finds these clever stepbrothers embarking on another 104 days of summer adventures. This time, Candace is more determined than ever to finally expose her brothers’ schemes, while their pet platypus, Perry, juggles two lives – as a regular pet during the day, but at night he’s the suave Agent P, working tirelessly to prevent evil plans from ruling over the Tri-State Area.
Disney offers a tantalizing peek at thrilling exploits for beloved characters in the upcoming season. The leading stepbrothers are set to smash some impressive world records, Candace will attempt her driver’s license test, and lastly, Perry is planning a long-awaited visit to the vet.
Phineas and Ferb’s Returning Cast
Besides Povenmire and Marsh, several members of the original cast are returning for the series, including Vincent Martella as Phineas Flynn, David Errigo Jr. as Ferb Fletcher, Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus, and Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro.
The creators of Phineas and Ferb previously showed enthusiasm for the return of the series. They mentioned that, given Phineas and Ferb essentially embodies summer vacation, summer would be the ideal period for the premiere of the new season. They’ve enjoyed immensely revisiting this universe, and the entire cast and crew have been exceptionally dedicated. They can hardly wait to witness fans’ reactions to what promises to be our favorite season yet.
