All Changes & How They Work | V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil

Enter the Oakveil Woodlands

In the latest update of V Rising, version 1.1, we’ve introduced a significant new addition, aptly titled “Invaders of Oakveil.” This is because the Oakveil Forest, a fresh biome located in the northwestern region of Vardoran, has been tainted. The corruption is due to the nefarious activities of the Venom Blades, a group led by Megara, the Serpent Queen.

You’ll encounter numerous fresh adversaries in that location, some of whom possess the ability to encase themselves in an aura that amplifies the power of other enemies. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to face off against a total of 5 new V Blood bosses.

What’s more, you can gather the following new resources:

  • Corrupted Oak – Obtained from the corrupted trees in the woodlands, you can grind it down into Planks and Venom Sap.
  • Emery – Obtained from ore nodes. Can be refined into Ember Glass and used to craft certain new structures, which we’ll talk about more later.
  • Corrupted Flower – Can be picked up all over the woodlands, and can be refined into various new weapon Coatings and Pollen.
  • Venom Sap – A common resource all over the Oakveil Woodlands, and the main thing the Venom Blades wish to collect. It can be used to produce Ember Glass, various Coatings, and some new structures.
  • Ember Glass – Can be looted randomly in the woodlands or made with a combination of Emery and Venom Sap. It’s mainly used at the Fusion Forge to merge Ancestral Weapons or Jewelry.

To experience all the latest content, your main focus should be on acquiring these fresh resources and overcoming the new V Bloods in version 1.1!

New V Bloods in Dunley Farms

Additionally, the newly introduced region isn’t the sole provider of fresh content in this latest update. Instead, you’ll find that Dunley Farms has welcomed two new V Blood Carriers as well. Here are the details:

[New information about the two V Blood Carriers]

  • Sir Erwin the Gallant Cavalier (Level 46) – Found at the Horse Racing Track, defeating him will unlock the Stables as a structure for your castle. Use the Stables to feed your mounts and improve their attributes. You can also use it to unlock extra perks for Vampire Horses.
  • Gaius the Cursed Champion (Level 55) – Found at the Coliseum, defeating him will primarily give you the Arena Station and Arena Decorations as structures. These allow you to create a custom Arena for PvP within your castle. If you love fighting other players, this is a must!

Regarding the traditional territories and V Bloodlines, there has been some adjustment in advancement when it comes to V Blood Carriers. Many of them now have unique or alternate unlocks, whereas others have experienced a slight decrease in their Level. Bear this in mind if you’re beginning a new game!

It’s Time to D-D-D-D-Duel!

In addition to other PvP changes, there’s a fresh feature called the Dueling Flag. Once you conquer Rufus the Foreman in Act I, you can craft this item. You are free to position it anywhere you desire. If another player interacts with it, a PvP duel will automatically start between you two!

What’s interesting is that regardless of who wins or loses, both players get their vitality replenished and abilities recharged following the fight. This means they can either jump right into another battle or carry on with their adventures as usual.

Horse Changes

Previously mentioned, update V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil introduces the new building structure called Stables. Yet, it’s worth noting that this isn’t the sole modification applied to horses within the game. Other significant alterations are also essential to bear in mind!

To start things off, from now on, when my beloved steeds aren’t vampires, they’ll fall into a weakened state rather than perishing instantly. This means I have the chance to bring them back to life, if that’s what I choose to do.

Also, horses’ stats have received an overhaul:

  • Their Speed now ranges from 7.5 to 9.5 (instead of 7.0 to 9.0).
  • Acceleration ranges from 3.5 to 6 (instead of 3.0 to 5.0).
  • Max natural stats have been reduced since you can now boost them via the Stables.
  • Vampire Horses have also received a notable nerf, as they now have 200 HP instead of 400!

Cloudy With a Chance of Blood

In this latest upgrade, the intricate cloud system has undergone a modification to accommodate thicker, more densely packed clouds. This adjustment primarily influences certain arenas of the V Blood Carrier, including Grayson the Armourer and Finn the Fisherman among others.

During the day, boss fights could be less challenging for you because there are more and thicker clouds offering greater shielding from the intense sunlight. Remember, you’re still a vampire!

Build a Treasury and Automate Production

In the latest update, V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil, we’re pleased to announce the addition of a new feature – the Treasury Flooring. You can access this unique flooring after successfully defeating Nicholaus the Fallen.

In this setup, a single room incorporates Treasury Flooring, causing all the containers within it to pool their contents together. This means that you won’t have to keep track of where each item is located since they will essentially function as one large shared storage area! This also applies to crafting stations placed in the same room.

Additionally, it performs exceptionally well when paired with the latest Redistribution System, a feature that becomes accessible after vanquishing Henry Blackbrew, the Doctor. This sophisticated setup enables connecting various structures and storage units, making it possible to establish automated production lines as well!

For instance, let a device called a Grinder generate Pollen and deliver it to another machine known as a Loom. The Loom will then transform this pollen into Rough Yarns. Subsequently, these yarns can be passed on to a Paper Maker to produce Scrolls. And the best part is, you won’t need to oversee each individual step of the process!

Attributes Have Been Reworked

With this latest update, some long-time players may initially feel apprehensive due to one significant shift. Many of the stats and characteristics have been revamped, and most now have a maximum limit. This maximum is visually represented by a red bar below each stat, which you can view in your Attributes overview section. These attributes primarily stem from your equipment and Passives.

This limitation on boosting certain statistics doesn’t automatically imply that you’ll become weaker. Instead, to compensate for this adjustment, Passives and Blood have undergone significant overhauls.

Defeating specific V Blood bosses now grants access to up to 5 passive slots. With these slots active, you can simultaneously equip five different passives. Additionally, these passives offer enhanced buffs, such as Blood Spray now increasing your Physical Critical Strike Chance by 8%. Unlocking passives can be done via the Altar of Stygian Awakening.

Regarding the various Blood types, they have been revamped to be more beneficial in battles. Furthermore, locating uncommon Blood types has become less challenging, and their Quality has significantly improved. Additionally, almost every blood-carrier can now be controlled or imprisoned by you. This expansion includes individuals who couldn’t previously be controlled, such as transformed Werewolves and Mutant Spitters.

Moreover, You might consider blending various Blood types with our latest Blood Blender. This allows for a combination of characteristics from distinct Blood types, expanding your available options for composition.

It’s important to mention that short-term enhancements, like those from spells, can exceed the attribute limits!

New Spell School Mastery Traits

In the latest update, V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil, a fresh feature called the Spell Mastery system is introduced. By investing specific amounts of Spell Points into any of the Spell Schools, you can unlock unique traits associated with that school. These traits function as permanent passive bonuses and are constantly active.

Be sure to effectively utilize the Spell Mastery system and the freshly introduced spells from this update, so you can get the best out of your preferred Spell Schools!

Soul Shard Ultimate Change

In version 1.1 of V Rising, there’s a significant adjustment, albeit not major, concerning Oakveil Invaders. Since this alteration is worthy of attention, we decided to dedicate a section to it. Now, you no longer have to employ the Ultimates from your Soul Shard inventory. Instead, you can choose whether to use them or not by swapping them within the menu!

Open the Fusion Forge

One innovative structure you might come across is the Fusion Forge, a tool that leverages the latest Ember Glass resource. It’s not accessible until later in the game, specifically during Act IV.

The Fusion Forge serves as a tool where you combine two Ancestral Weapons or two Jewels. Once combined, you’re given the option to retain certain characteristics, discarding any unnecessary ones. This feature helps cut down on farming time because you can simply join different items to obtain your desired results. However, remember that you’ll need Ember Glass for fusion.

Invite the Blood Souls

A new convenience has been incorporated, allowing you to call upon Blood Souls to your stronghold via the Stygian Summoning Circle. We’ve included some summoning methods in the updated list below:

1. Recipe 1 for summoning Blood Souls…
2. Recipe 2 for summoning Blood Souls…
3. And so on, with additional recipes as well.

In other words, you can now bring Blood Souls to your castle using the Stygian Summoning Circle, and we’ve provided a list of recipes for doing so.

  • Lesser Blood Soul – Summons a random Lesser Blood Soul. Requires Scroll x200 and Primal Blood Essence x1.
  • Primal Blood Soul – Summons a random Primal Blood Soul. Requires Schematic x280 and Blood Crystal x80.

This method streamlines your farming process for the Blood Souls, as it’s crucial because they drop the Stygian Shards that are essential for unlocking your recently acquired Passives!

Coat Your Weapons

In this guide, we previously noted that there are now special items called Coatings in the game. You can create these at the Alchemy Station once they’ve been unlocked during Act IV. By applying them to your weapons, you can temporarily enhance their abilities. Here is a list of all the newly added Coatings:
