Starting in February, Ubisoft updated Far Cry New Dawn so it runs at 60 frames per second on contemporary gaming consoles. Now, another Far Cry game is also receiving this enhancement.
Ubisoft has revealed that they’ve issued an update for the game Far Cry 4, making it capable of running at 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S consoles. At this time, there’s no information available about whether this update includes any additional changes or enhancements.
*Far Cry 4* can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S thanks to backward compatibility. The game will soon be available on Game Pass for both Xbox consoles, PC, and cloud streaming. Additionally, the game is currently on sale at reduced prices on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Ubisoft Store until May 7 (PlayStation), May 5 (Xbox), and May 20 (Ubisoft) respectively.
Regarding future developments for the franchise, rumors suggest that “Far Cry 7” and a multiplayer offshoot called “Project Maverick” are expected to hit shelves in 2026. For additional details, check out this link.
