Warning: Major plot revelations from the Emmerdale episode airing on the 28th of April can be found, which is now streaming on ITVX.
It’s possible that John Sugden, portrayed by Oliver Farnworth, could have significantly mishandled the concealment of Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) murder in Emmerdale.
It seems that Nate intentionally stopped communicating with his daughter Frankie, as well as his close friends and family, including his former wife Tracy (Amy Walsh). This absence of financial support from Nate has left Tracy in a difficult financial situation.
After John unintentionally taking Nate’s life and subsequently disposing of his body in the lake, he caught a glimpse of Tracy’s distress as she was preparing for her job interview.
Tracy confided her worries, unaware that Nate is dead and that she was speaking to Nate’s killer.
Outside the hospital, John stepped out after a hopeful job interview, where he was greeted by his fiancé, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), who had been patiently waiting.
Aaron convinced hesitant John to pay a visit to his former partner, Aidan Moore, who is still in a coma at the same facility.
In Aidan’s room, John acted as if it had been a while since his last visit and presented Aaron, then hastily exited.
Aaron could relate to John’s distress, grasping the reason behind his deception about Aidan’s demise, not knowing that John harbored other ominous secrets from him.
Afterward, inside his vehicle, John discovered a well-wishing card from Tracy, penned down earlier as a gesture of good fortune before his job interview.
With Nate having Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) phone, John heard a voicemail from his estranged father first, and then unintentionally picked up an incoming call from him.
Did John choose to remain quiet and hastily end the conversation, thereby potentially enabling the phone to be traced to John’s vehicle, or might Cain and Tracy now become increasingly certain that Nate is deliberately distancing himself from his kin?
In the meantime, Ella Forster (Paula Lane), who was falsely accused of John’s assault on Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), had an alibi that cleared her name. The police consider her innocent based on this evidence.
Will Liam uncover John’s many misdeeds?
