Borderlands 4 Adds 3 New Weapon Manufacturers, Licensed Parts, and Ordnance Slot

In Borderlands 4, the beloved looter-shooter series appears to have a fresher, more dynamic feel with enhanced movement possibilities. However, at its core, it’s still all about the treasure hunt. This time around, developer Gearbox is introducing major changes to the weapon system, beginning with three new gun manufacturers: Order, Ripper, and Daedalus.

Weapons labeled as “Order” deliver high-impact bursts with impressive accuracy, whereas “Ripper” guns operate automatically but require some time to load up. The versatile Daedalus accommodates various ammunition types and is known for its user-friendly design. However, the standout feature is the Licensed Parts system.

Now you’re able to find firearms that incorporate components from multiple manufacturers; the better the quality, the more parts they possess. Legendary items are scarce and will provide a unique experience, akin to extraordinary events. Firearms can also boast Enhancements, replacing Artifacts and providing additional advantages based on the manufacturer.

Additional features incorporate Ordinance, a fresh space for grenades and powerful weaponry. Rather than relying on traditional ammunition, these items come with a cool-down period, enhancing the chances of destruction. Repair kits offer healing as well as advantages such as increased attack rate and mobility boosts.

On September 12th, we’ll see the arrival of Borderlands 4! Keep an eye out as a playable event will be held in June – there’s more to come!
