There’s no doubt about it: Genshin Impact paved the way for the gaming scene as we know it today. If it weren’t for Genshin Impact, we wouldn’t be enjoying hit titles such as Wuthering Waves, Honkai: Star Rail, Infinity Nikki, and Zenless Zone Zero on the PS5.
However, leading the pack allows others to build upon its foundation, yet it simultaneously appears archaic in numerous ways, reflecting the game’s ongoing evolution.
HoYoverse has given a detailed look at their upcoming major expansion, Nod-Krai, during a 20-minute live broadcast that offered an inside peek.
Although the program didn’t offer specifics as a Special Program would, it aimed to explore the developer’s intentions. It’s hinting at a narrative that will span an entire year, addressing numerous details about Teyvat that have been previously unnoticed.
Significantly different from past game spots, Nod-Krai serves as a unifying point for all the current factions. This convergence aims to propel the narrative towards its peak, addressing any overlooked lore details that players might have missed.
It appears that its aim might be to display more content visually, reducing reliance on lengthy text documents and similar resources. The key is ensuring the writing remains concise yet impactful; we can only hope that it addresses the issue of excessive use of proper nouns and a need for better editing, which is a common challenge in HoYoverse’s games.
Looking forward to observing the impact Nod-Krai will bring when it’s due in September. In a recent video, they shared valuable insights from industry veterans such as former Sony Boss Shuhei Yoshida and Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of FromSoftware.
Five years after its launch, Genshin Impact remains a remarkable, groundbreaking game. With increasing competition in the market, we eagerly anticipate that it will continue to grow and adapt significantly.
