The John Wick series is continuing strong with sequels and new projects, and there’s a character who should return six years after her debut. As each John Wick film has earned more than its predecessor, Lionsgate has been actively growing the franchise by adding various media. Currently, they have one TV show running and another in production, and soon, they will release their first big-screen spinoff titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.

The storyline of the John Wick series persists past what was thought to be his death, as evidenced by the announcement of John Wick 5 featuring Keanu Reeves‘ return. Additionally, an animated prequel is in development that will delve into the “impossible mission” Wick undertook to retire. Among the many John Wick characters I’d like to see resurface, Aurelio (played by John Leguizamo), Marcus (portrayed by Willem Dafoe), and Sofia (Halle Berry) stand out. However, Sofia is the character I long to see more than any other in the franchise’s future installments.

Halle Berry was equally dedicated to the action sequences and stunts as Keanu Reeves himself, and Sofia proved to be a formidable fighting companion for Wick. It would certainly be exciting if she reappeared in John Wick 5.

The film hinted at her longstanding friendship with Wick, but didn’t delve into the particulars of their relationship due to urgent matters arising. With “John Wick 5“, we can expect a deeper exploration of their dynamic.

In the intense battle sequences of Parabellum, Sofia was accompanied by her reliable attack dogs, adding a distinct flair to her on-screen combat. These canine companions are always at her side when she encounters a crowded room of adversaries. They are fiercely devoted to her and will viciously attack anyone who threatens her with a gun. This sets Sofia’s action scenes apart from those in other John Wick movies, and the unique style of action has great potential for further development in future productions.
