Sinners Returns in 70mm IMAX for One Week Only—Is Your City on the List?

opting for the familiar evil: The movie “Sinners” is making a comeback in select theaters for a brief run on IMAX 70mm. Known for his work on films like “Creed” and the “Black Panther” series, director Ryan Coogler filmed “Sinners” using the exclusive IMAX 70mm format, which is supported by only about 30 screens worldwide (19 of them in the U.S.). Warner Bros., who initially released this horror hit into more than 3,300 theaters on April 18, is bringing it back for a week-long run: from Thursday, May 15, to Wednesday, May 21. Check out the list of IMAX “Sinners” 70mm locations below.

Jeff Goldstein, President of Warner Bros. Pictures Global Distribution, stated, ‘The audience’s feedback matters, and we’ve taken notice.’ He continued, ‘There’s no doubt that the film Sinners is best enjoyed in an expansive, immersive format like 70mm IMAX. Ryan has created a movie that fans who value intricate cinematography have adored, and we wanted to offer everyone the chance to experience it – or re-experience it – on such a grand scale.’

Tickets are now available on the Sinners movie website and the IMAX website.

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” and Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” were recently highly anticipated films shown in the large-format 70mm IMAX, known for its superior resolution and exclusive 1:43.1 expanded aspect ratio. The IMAX “Sinners” Experience allows certain sequences to visually stretch across the entire screen at IMAX 70mm Film and IMAX with Laser cinemas, which are listed below.

In this rephrased version: Michael B. Jordan plays the twin brothers Smoke and Stack, known as the Smokestack Twins, who establish a juke joint in the Mississippi Delta during the 1930s. On their grand opening, they encounter a formidable foe – a pack of vampires, headed by Remmick, portrayed by Jack O’Connell. Alongside them, Hailee Steinfeld, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, Delroy Lindo, and Miles Caton are also part of the cast. The film has garnered a massive response, having grossed $181 million globally after holding the number one spot at the box office for two weeks.
