Lee Do-hyun & Go Min-si Reunite: The K-Drama Duo Fans Can’t Get Enough Of Is Back Again!

Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si, who initially collaborated on the popular Netflix K-drama “Sweet Home”, will be teaming up once more for another Korean TV series. In the horror K-drama “Sweet Home”, Song Kang played the lead character, giving viewers a chance to discover fresh and established South Korean talents such as Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si. Notable roles for Lee Do-hyun include the revenge K-drama “The Glory”, “18 Again”, and “Melancholia”. Meanwhile, Go Min-si has appeared in “Love Alarm” and “Smugglers”. Both actors have gained significant recognition within the industry following their work in “Sweet Home”.

It’s not unusual to see actors working together across various K-dramas. For instance, Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na teamed up in “Goblin: The Great and Lonely God” and “Touch Your Heart”. Similar collaborations can be seen with Kim Soo Hyun and IU in shows like “Dream High” and “Hotel del Luna”. Consequently, it’s no wonder that Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si have also worked together.

Lee Do-hyun & Go Min-si Have Worked Together In Other K-Dramas

Based on recent news, Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si are likely to appear in an upcoming Korean drama. Both South Korean actors have been proposed for the main roles, although it’s uncertain if Lee Do-hyun will take up the offer due to his ongoing military service. However, it was mentioned that he is being considered for the lead role by his agency. On the contrary, Go Min-si’s agency has announced that she has agreed to star in the drama and will be part of the Hong Sisters’ new K-drama (as reported by Soompi).

To date, no specifics about the plot, release date, or additional cast members for the upcoming K-drama penned by the Hong Sisters titled “A Good Day To Be A Dog” have been disclosed. Initially, Cha Eun-soo from “A Good Day To Be A Dog” was slated to be part of the Korean TV series, but he subsequently withdrew. If Lee Do-hyun accepts the offer, it would mark his first acting gig post his military service.

Lee Do-hyun & Go Min-si’s New K-Drama Would Mark Their Third Collaboration

Lee Do Hyun & Go Min-su Worked Together In Sweet Home And Youth Of May

Should Lee Do-hyun accept the role in the upcoming K-drama, it will mark their third collaboration. Previously, they worked together in the Netflix series “Sweet Home,” where Lee Do-hyun portrayed Lee Eun-hyuk, the adoptive brother of Go Min-si’s character, Lee Eun-yu, who was an aspiring ballerina. Following the end of “Sweet Home” season 1, they teamed up again in the historical K-drama, “Youth of May.

In “Youth of May,” Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si portrayed Hwang Hee-tae and Kim Myung-hee. Unlike their characters in “Sweet Home” who were siblings, the relationship between Hee-tae and Myung-hee in “Youth of May” was romantic as they were lovers. Both dramas demonstrate the exceptional chemistry between Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si, which is evident regardless of whether they are portraying lovers or sibling characters in K-dramas.

The Hong Sisters’ New K-Drama Would Also Be A Full Circle Moment For Lee Do-hyun

The Hong Sisters Wrote Hotel Del Luna

Lee Do-hyun’s career significantly benefited from the guidance of the Hong Sisters. Before making a name for himself with a lead role, Lee Do-hyun portrayed multiple characters in Korean dramas like “Clean With Passion For Now,” but it was “Hotel del Luna” that brought him to the limelight. Although he played a supporting character as Go Chung-myung, Jang Man-wol’s former lover in the romantic K-drama, Lee Do-hyun’s charm shone through in every scene he graced. Consequently, it’s no wonder that he is now highly respected as one of South Korea’s top actors.

Following his role in Hotel del Luna, Lee Do-hyun’s acting career flourished even more. This South Korean actor didn’t just appear in a number of successful K-dramas but also landed a part in Exhuma, a 2024 supernatural horror movie. His performance earned him a nomination for Best New Actor at both the Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Buil Film Awards in South Korea. Six years after Hotel del Luna, Lee Do-hyun and the Hong Sisters will collaborate again on another eagerly awaited K-drama.
