The popular ITV soap opera is gradually leading up to the exit of a beloved character, a development triggered by actress Charlotte Jordan’s choice to leave the series since she joined in 2020.

For Daisy, life in Weatherfield has seldom been tranquil. Lately, it’s been particularly tumultuous with a paternity dilemma unfolding between her romantic contenders Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), a heart-wrenching loss due to miscarriage, and an escalating conflict with stepmother Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews).

On Wednesday’s installment, Daisy exposed her mother, Christina Boyd played by Amy Robbins, for attempting to swindle Jenny out of her funds. This action led indirectly to Kit apprehending Christina and keeping her in custody overnight, even though Daisy herself was part of the scheme.

Previously, Daniel, her true love, had presented Daisy with a tough choice: cease her manipulations or face the end of their relationship. Moved by the situation, she opted to terminate their romance, causing immense sadness in Daniel’s heart.

With Jenny’s money securely stored in the bank and Christina on her way to face legal consequences, Daisy discloses her intention to bid farewell to Weatherfield, seeking a new beginning elsewhere.

On the evening of May 2nd, 2025, as the program airs, Daisy contemplates her departure from the street, disregarding Jenny’s anxious pleas for her not to go, though she remains by her side.

Yet, Daisy persists in her determined pursuit as she refines her escape plan. Nevertheless, an unexpected obstacle arises when Daniel challenges her emotionally in a private conversation.

Despite being on the verge of leaving, Daisy keeps working on her plans. But things get complicated when Daniel talks to her about their situation in a deeply emotional way.

Although Daisy has left, actress Charlotte Jordan suggests that her lively and stylish character might not be gone for good.

Jordan shared with ITV that producer Kate Brooks has been incredibly encouraging about his desire to return to the audition process and quite generous in crafting Daisy’s departure narrative, as she was keen on ensuring the character was portrayed fairly.

Coronation Street holds a special place in my heart, and I cherish it dearly. However, for now, we must part ways, but this is not a permanent farewell.
