In the teaser for the upcoming five-part series titled “The Game,” actors Jason Watkins and Robson Green are featured, with Watkins portraying a former detective engaged in a mental battle against a suspected stalker whom he believes is a dangerous individual.
Huw Miller (Watkins), during his retirement from the police force, carries a significant professional remorse – he was unable to apprehend the infamous Ripton Stalker, a criminal who terrorized his victims prior to their tragic deaths.
As mysterious neighbor Patrick Harbottle (Green) settles in next door, Huw finds himself pondering whether the long-evaded criminal could potentially be lurking nearby all along.
Yet, the trailer suggests that audiences must make their own judgement about whether he’s truly pursuing a resolution of an old crime, or instead, his pursuit might be a symptom of his struggle to find answers in the enigmatic and lethal case he was unable to crack.
Take a look at the video above, which previews the upcoming series The Game (formerly known as Catch You Later). This gripping four-part drama will make its debut on Monday, 12th May 2025, airing at 9 pm on channel 5.
The mini-series will play back-to-back every evening for four nights straight, concluding on Thursday, May 15th. So, not much longer to go before we discover the climax of this suspenseful tale.
Previously, Green praised Patrick for taking on a “stunning” role, providing an opportunity to showcase acting skills not typically displayed in his recent roles as straight-forward heroes.
Sunetra Sarker portrays Huw’s wife, who appears visibly worried about his obsession with Patrick, suspecting that he may be missing the truth entirely and instead “pursuing illusions” or “chasing after falsehoods.
The trailer concludes with a chilly ending, where Huw and Patrick face off across from each other, exchanging sharp words. Each of them looks at the other warily, as Patrick claims that they both are driven by the thrill of the chase.
Tune in to find out how this cat-and-mouse game concludes.
