Celebrities Share Shocking Health Scares and Miracles You Won’t Believe

Khloe Kardashian is feeling good as new.

Over two years since the reality TV personality had a tumor surgically removed from her face, she recently provided insights into her recovery journey.

In a video shared on her Instagram Stories on May 5th, Khloe mentioned that she had undergone a procedure to remove a tumor from her face, and as a result, she would have a small scar in that area and some minor bumps.

In her own words, the reality star – mother to 7-year-old True Thompson and 2-year-old Tatum Thompson (with ex Tristan Thompson) – stated that after the surgery, “there was a significant depression due to the large tissue excised.

However, following the application of biostimulant fillers, Khloe showcased that the indentation was nearly invisible. She shared a collection of before and after images to demonstrate the significant transformation.

She expressed her deep appreciation for being able to successfully treat her skin cancer on her face. She was thankful for the skilled hands of Garth Fisher, who performed the procedure with utmost care, and the staff at 7Q Spa who assisted in ensuring the treatment site was barely noticeable.

In October 2022, Khloe revealed that she had a skin growth biopsied which persisted for about seven months, initially thinking it was a pimple.

A short while after that, she was informed that she required an urgent surgery to take out a growth on her face. As expected, here I am…you’ll notice bandages on me and, once permitted, you might also see a scar (along with an indentation in my cheek from the removal of the tumor).

Since then, Khloe has kept her fans updated throughout the recovery process.

Khloe revealed on Snapchat last October that she waited nine months post-surgery before having the indentation treated. She wanted to ensure medically it was safe, and her doctor gave her the all-clear.

In an announcement made in April 2025, the former cast member of “Beverly Hills, 90210” shared that he was on the road to recovery following an appendix operation, as it had come close to rupturing.

A week ago, Brian shared in an Instagram video that he began experiencing abdominal discomfort. This led him to visit the emergency room where it was discovered that his appendix was about to rupture, but hadn’t quite yet.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

Adam Devine revealed that the injuries he suffered at age 11, following an accident with a cement truck, continue to impact his health up until now.

In a 2025 episode of the “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” podcast, Devine stated, “It’s been a living hell. I’ve been experiencing constant muscle spasms throughout my body. For a while now, they’ve told me that I was close to death – quite literally, within the last year.

He mentioned that pain fluctuates, expressing, “There are some irregularities and minor issues with my body.

Previously part of Bachelor Nation, this individual revealed he had to visit the hospital by crawling on his hands and knees because of intense lower back pain, which became worse while traveling in an RV with a companion.

He remarked during his March 2025 podcast episode of Trading Secrets, “At this moment, from knees to toes, it feels oddly numb, which is quite surprising.” To give you an idea, about two to four weeks ago, I was likely squatting around 295 pounds. Now, I’m unable to perform a simple squat on one leg. In fact, if I try, I lose balance, as if I had experienced a stroke or similar incident.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

In a game held in December 2024, an AHL player endured a nasty injury when another player’s skate accidentally sliced him open. As a result, he needed 25 stitches to close the wound. Later, when his father, New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald spoke with ESPN after his son had fully recovered, he expressed his gratitude, stating, “We feel incredibly fortunate. I wouldn’t wish such an incident on any parent.

In March 2025, I, Gina Kirschenheiter from Real Housewives of Orange County, had the grim realization that my ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, experienced a heart attack. Fortunately, he managed to pull through this harrowing incident.

In March 2025, the star from “30 Rock” experienced a health issue during a New York Knicks basketball match at Madison Square Garden, resulting in his removal from the venue in a wheelchair.

On the next day, the comedian posted an update on social media, mentioning it was a matter of food poisoning and that he was recovering well.

Back in February 2025, the former star of “Even Stevens” revealed that she had been accidentally shot in the face during a trip to shoot clay pigeons as part of her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday celebration.

She posted on Instagram that there was another group present, who accidentally discharged their firearm incorrectly, striking her in the face. Immediately, @thebrendanrooney jumped into action, examined me, and quickly transported me to the hospital. I was wounded in five spots, with one bullet coming within an inch of hitting my right eye directly.

The actor from Kim Possible went on to say, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck near my eye, and it’s not safe for surgery right now. My doctors are keeping a close watch on me, but I can see fine for now.

As a heartfelt admirer, I’d like to share a poignant reflection: “The actress expressed her profound gratitude for being given another day of life. In her words, ‘My love for my daughters, husband, family, and friends is immeasurable.’ She recounted a moment where she felt her life slipping away, only to emphasize the importance of embracing those close to us whenever the opportunity arises. Life, as she experienced, can transform in the blink of an eye, so cherish each moment spent with your loved ones.

Despite the internet often being less than cordial, Amy Schumer is grateful it provided her with answers in this instance. Reflecting on an episode of Call Her Daddy in January 2025, she recalled her face looking different due to steroid injections, causing some doctors to comment and speculate about a potential health issue – Cushing syndrome. Confused at being criticized by medical professionals, Amy realized that the comments were correct when she linked them to the steroid injections she had been receiving for scars from past surgeries like breast reduction and C-section. In her own words, “I wouldn’t have known about Cushing syndrome if the internet hadn’t piled on so hard.” Now, Amy is simply relieved that she is healthy and will recover from Cushing syndrome naturally. As she shared in a News Not Noise newsletter in February 2024, “Learning I have a type of Cushing that will resolve itself and that I’m healthy was the best possible news.

Hailey Bieber experienced a terrifying incident in March 2022 during breakfast with husband Justin Bieber when she started exhibiting symptoms similar to a stroke. She recalled the event on YouTube, explaining that she couldn’t respond when asked if she was okay because she wasn’t sure, and then she couldn’t speak. Her right side of the face began drooping, and she struggled to form a sentence. Despite the facial drooping stopping and her speech returning, Hailey decided to visit the hospital for a check-up.

The doctors discovered that she had experienced a small blood clot in her brain, which they categorized as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further examination at the University of California, Los Angeles, revealed that Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had traveled into her heart through this hole and escaped to her brain, causing the TIA.

Hailey underwent a successful PFO closure procedure and is now feeling well.

In the same year as Hailey’s health scare, Justin also faced one of his own. Specifically, in June 2022, the “Baby” singer revealed he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that led to temporary paralysis on parts of his face. This diagnosis forced him to postpone the rest of his Justice World Tour.

As Justin explained via an Instagram video at the time, this virus attacked the nerve in his ear and facial nerves, causing full paralysis on one side of his face. He couldn’t blink one eye, smile on that side, or move one nostril. It even made eating difficult for him. However, after some time, the paralysis subsided.

Hailey shared on a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America that Justin is now doing well and feeling much better. Although it was a scary and unexpected situation, she expressed gratitude that he’s recovering and will be fine in the end.

As a devoted admirer, I’ve always followed Jamie Foxx closely. Initially, he kept his April 2023 hospitalization under wraps, but later in his 2024 Netflix special titled “What Had Happened Was…”, he shared the harrowing experience that unfolded.

In Atlanta one day, I remember him saying, “I was suffering from such a severe headache that I asked my friend for an aspirin.” Unfortunately, before I could get the aspirin, I fainted and lost consciousness for about 20 days.”

Upon waking up on May 4, he found himself in a wheelchair and was unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.

Reflecting on his ordeal, he humbly expressed his gratitude, “All I can say is that I appreciate every prayer because I truly needed them all.

As a devoted fan and follower, I, too, have witnessed Emilia Clarke’s intense battle scenes on Game of Thrones. However, unlike the fictional battles she portrayed, her real-life struggle was far more harrowing, as she revealed in an essay titled “A Battle for My Life,” published in The New Yorker in 2019.

One day at the gym, I found myself overwhelmed by a severe headache that led me to the bathroom. Upon reaching it, I collapsed, violently vomiting and feeling an agonizing, relentless pain. Deep down, I sensed my brain was injured.

Rushed to the hospital for a scan, I received the grim news: a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a potentially fatal type of stroke caused by bleeding in the area surrounding the brain. In simpler terms, an aneurysm had ruptured within me.

I underwent immediate surgery to repair the aneurysm, but the pain was indescribable. During my recovery, I struggled with aphasia, uttering meaningless words and phrases.

A week later, the aphasia subsided, and I left the hospital after a month’s stay. However, during a 2013 brain scan, I learned that the growth had doubled in size, necessitating another operation.

When they revived me post-surgery, I was writhing in pain. The procedure had failed, and the doctors informed me that my chances of survival were slim if they didn’t operate again. This time, they would need to access my brain through the conventional method—my skull.

Thankfully, today I am completely healed and back to 100%. Emilia Clarke no longer stands before you as a mere actress; she is a survivor, a warrior, who has faced her battles and emerged victorious.

Cori Broadus, daughter of Snoop Dogg, expresses her gratitude towards her family.

After experiencing a serious stroke in January 2024, her loved ones swiftly gathered by her side.

“I sent them a text and picture to let them know I’d had a stroke,” she shared with Will Marfuggi, a correspondent from TopMob News, in December 2024. “Everyone immediately stepped in to help me.”

Due to additional health issues, Cori ended up staying in the hospital for an extended period.

“I could have been discharged after my stroke,” she continued from her role in Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story. “However, my lupus wasn’t cooperating, and my kidneys were failing. It was a difficult time.”

Now, Cori is making progress towards recovery.

“I am doing well,” she added. “I merely needed to regain some motor skills. Apart from that, I was in good condition.

In her twenties, the period of health for Shailene Woodley wasn’t straightforward. The actress shared on the September 2024 episode of the SHE MD Podcast that she experienced severe issues which included losing her hearing, having trouble walking without needing long periods of rest, and stomach pain from almost every food she consumed. She encountered a mixture of health problems, conflicting diagnoses, and advice from different doctors.

Determined to find answers, Shailene, who has a background in holistic medicine and herbalism, decided to seek help from both conventional medical professionals and independent healers. This quest for healing took over a decade.

During this prolonged period of discomfort, other issues arose for the Big Little Lies star. “As I became more afraid of food because everything hurt my stomach,” she explained, “I developed fears surrounding food which then led to mental struggles like body dysmorphia and confusion about self-image and safety in my own body.”

After focusing on improving both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now feeling much better. She shared that her journey eventually resulted in a resolution of her physical health issues, and she is happy to be in good health today.
