Zendaya and Anna Sawai’s Met Gala Twinning Moment: Identical Suits or nah?

I’m wishing that both Zendaya and Anna Sawai felt the same exhilaration when they donned their 2025 Met Gala outfits, just as I imagine they did.

On May 5, outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Emmy-winning actresses truly made a splash as they arrived, donning stylish white suits and broad-brimmed hats that generated quite a buzz.

In a subtle contrast, it was the minor elements that made the difference between the two groups: Sawai (who represents Dior), adorned with a silver tie pin and letting her hair cascade freely, differed from Zendaya who tucked her hair under her hat and wore her tie inside a vest. Upon closer look, the stitching on Sawai’s suit jacket pockets stood out more distinctly, and she accessorized with gloves to avoid concealing her Cartier watch.

Additionally, I found myself drawn to the bell-bottom Louis Vuitton pants worn by the style icon Zendaya. She paired them elegantly with a bold, crimson manicure and the stunning diamond engagement ring graciously bestowed upon her by her beloved fiancé, Tom Holland.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that this event marked Sawai’s inaugural attendance at the Met Gala, while Zendaya, aged 28, graced the red carpet for the seventh time, making her first appearance back in 2015 as a debutant at this annual fundraiser.

Despite both celebrities being perfectly suited for the night’s theme, “Superb Tailoring of Black Style,” Zendaya consistently impresses with her adaptable style at the Met Gala events.

Meanwhile, Sawai might have found fortune during her first appearance, stating last year to Vogue that a suit is her preferred attire for social events.

The New Zealander explained to the magazine that in her everyday life, she would choose this particular blazer for going out. But, of course, she’d swap out those heels for a pair of sneakers instead.

Instead, Sawai mentioned, “It’s good that I opted not to switch into my usual sweatpants.

In terms of my fashion choices, I prefer a stylish yet understated approach. I steer clear of overly feminine or stereotypical styles such as cutesy or overtly sexy ones. Instead, I aim for a balanced look that reflects my personal style.

As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming Met Gala, I shared with the New York Times my exhilaration, saying, “The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the ultimate playground, where the glamour and excitement of the red carpet events are taken to an extraordinary level.

As an enthusiastic participant, I can’t contain my excitement about this theme. What makes it even more special is that it will be my first opportunity to express my androgynous self. I am genuinely thrilled to honor Black dandyism in the process.

The actor from the movie “Get Out” was an striking sight, dressed in a long, white suit coat and a matching top hat, both against a backdrop of black and white.

At the yearly fashion gala, the performer displayed her unique dance steps and fashion sense, donning a harmonious set of a vest and maxi skirt matched with towering heels that complemented the outfit perfectly.

At this year’s gala, the versatile artist opted for an unconventional style, donning a jacket that featured a print of a suit, and sporting another suit beneath it.

We continue to be captivated by the “Material Girl” singer’s striking all-white Tom Ford suit, and the addition of the cigar accessory was an elegant finishing touch.
