In a recent announcement from publishers Maximum Entertainment and developers Secret Base, characters Jeff and Abore from Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons are now accessible for free download. This is the first installment of multiple character updates planned, with an additional six fighters expected to join the roster later in 2025.

Jeff
Originally, Jeff, who had a long-standing rivalry with the Lee siblings during their childhood, learned martial art Sōsetsuken together with them. However, as his abilities didn’t match up, feelings of envy took hold. Desiring to outshine Billy and Jimmy, Jeff forsook his honorable route and instead immersed himself in the rough urban environment. There, he combined Karate with Sōsetsuken to create a dangerous and erratic combat technique.
Abore
A towering former soldier, Abore displays an imposing, stoic presence. He wields his raw power with unflappable calmness during battles. His extraordinary strength and durability have sparked speculation among some: is he human, or something beyond? The taciturn combatant remains silent, delivering only devastating strikes.
The game titled “Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons” can be played right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or your personal computer through Steam.
