Rondell Sheridan is sharing insight into his ongoing health journey.
The actor who portrayed Raven’s father, Victor Baxter, on the television show “That’s So Raven” from 2003 to 2007 and appeared in spinoffs “Cory in the House” and “Raven’s Home”, has recently shared that he is currently hospitalized due to pancreatitis. Unfortunately, the income from his residuals isn’t sufficient to cover his expenses, so he is reaching out to his fans for assistance.
In a March 6 video on Instagram, Rondell, 66, shared that his pancreas is swollen and there isn’t much immediate treatment available other than waiting for the inflammation to subside. He admitted he was unaware that this health issue would keep him away from work for an extended period. To help cover some of his medical expenses, he has set up a GoFundMe page.
He added, “If you have anything that you could donate, I would gladly appreciate it.”
After all, he’s been struggling with the medical condition for over a month now.
On April 10th, while traveling, I fell ill. I visited the hospital where they initially suspected gastric issues. By the 12th, I found myself back in the hospital at Northridge, learning that it was actually pancreatitis. For nine days, I remained hospitalized. Upon discharge, I believed I was on the path to recovery, but it was merely for observation.
After his post, his Disney Channel family didn’t hesitate to show him some affection. For instance, Jake Thomas, an actor from Cory in the House, expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery with “Get well soon Rondell!” Similarly, Ian Jordan from Raven’s Home also sent warm regards. Lastly, Orlando Jones, another actor, added his well-wishes by saying “Get well soon fam.
Over time, the stand-up comedian has maintained strong relationships with his Disney co-stars. Notably, he and his former on-screen daughter, as well as Rose Abdoo and Anneliese van der Pol, have spoken about their heartwarming reunion in the past.
It’s such a delight to unexpectedly bump into friends from my ‘That’s So Raven’ era! Anne-Mie van DER Pol and Rondell Sheridan, as shown on Instagram in 2019, posted this reunion!
For quite some time now, I’ve maintained a strong bond with my Disney co-stars, including the one who played my TV daughter on screen. Not too long ago, it was delightful to catch up with Rose Abdoo and Anneliese Van der Pol, as we shared heartwarming moments together once more – a reunion that we’ve gratefully spoken about in the past.
It’s like a pleasant surprise to meet my old friends from the ‘That’s So Raven’ era! That’s what Rose (who played Senorita Rodriguez) expressed on Instagram back in 2019. She tagged them as @anneliesevanderpol and @rondellsheridanofficial.

In an announcement made in April 2025, the former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared that he was on the road to recovery following a surgery, as his appendix had come dangerously close to rupturing.
A week ago, I began experiencing abdominal discomfort,” Brian explained in his Instagram post, “which led me to visit the emergency room. It turned out I had a nearly-burst appendix, but not quite yet.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”
Adam Devine mentioned that the injuries he suffered at age 11, following an accident with a cement truck, continue to impact his health up until now.
In a 2025 episode of the “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” podcast, Devine shared that it’s been an extremely difficult time for him. He described his condition as constant spasms throughout his body. At one point, doctors informed him that he was close to death – literally speaking, they predicted his demise within the past year.
He observed that the pain is intermittent, stating, “There are some quirks and imperfections in my body that aren’t quite right.
Previously part of Bachelor Nation, this individual disclosed that he had to visit the hospital, crawling on all fours, because of intense back pain that worsened during a camping trip with a companion in an RV.
I’m absolutely thrilled, even down to my toes, it’s as if I’ve just touched something electrifying, and that’s quite extraordinary,” I expressed on a recent episode of my Trading Secrets podcast in March 2025. “To give you an idea, let me clarify, without sounding boastful, but two, three weeks ago, or perhaps even a month ago, I was squatting around 295 pounds. And now, believe it or not, I can’t do a single-leg squat. I can barely stand on one foot and attempt it; I’d topple over. It’s as if I’ve suffered some sort of neurological incident.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
In a game held in December 2024, an AHL player got hurt when another player’s skate accidentally sliced him open. He ended up needing 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son had fully healed, New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald expressed his gratitude to ESPN, stating, “We feel incredibly fortunate. I wouldn’t wish such an ordeal on any parent.
In March 2025, Gina Kirschenheiter from The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that her former spouse, Matt Kirschenheiter, had experienced a heart attack. Luckily, he made it through this challenging situation.
In March 2025, during a New York Knicks basketball match, the star of 30 Rock experienced a sudden health issue, which necessitated his removal from Madison Square Garden in a wheelchair.
On the next day, the comedian posted an update on social media, mentioning that it was food poisoning and he was recovering well.
In February 2025, the former star of “Even Stevens” revealed that she had been accidentally shot in the face during a trip to shoot clay pigeons as part of her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday celebration.
In her Instagram post, she stated that there was another person with us who mistakenly discharged their firearm in a dangerous manner, striking me in the face. Instantly, @thebrendanrooney responded, evaluated my condition, and swiftly transported me to the hospital. I was wounded in five different spots, one of which was barely an inch away from directly hitting my right eye.
Speaking as a wellness advisor, I’d put it this way: In an unfortunate turn of events, I recently had a small piece become stuck near my eye and, for now, surgical removal isn’t recommended due to potential risks. My medical team is keeping a close eye on the situation, and thankfully, my vision remains clear at the moment.
As a fervent admirer, I’d like to share a profound statement that struck me deeply: “I was given another chance at life, and it’s the most precious gift I’ve ever received.” This actress expressed her heartfelt feelings, saying, “My daughters, husband, family, and friends mean the world to me. Looking back on my life in those critical moments, I realized how much they enrich mine. So, let me tell you, cherish the people close to you. Give them a warm embrace whenever you can. Life, as we know it, can change in the blink of an eye.
Despite the internet sometimes being unkind, Amy Schumer is grateful that this time it provided her with valuable information. Reflecting on an episode of Call Her Daddy in January 2025, she remembered, “After a flurry of interviews, I told everyone to calm down, but then doctors started commenting and suggesting I might have Cushing syndrome.”
As doctors speculated that her unusual appearance could be due to Cushing syndrome caused by elevated cortisol levels or steroid injections, Amy realized, “It turned out that I had been receiving steroid injections for my scars from a breast reduction, a C-section, and other surgeries.”
Amy then admitted, “I’ve been getting these steroid injections, so it seems I developed Cushing syndrome. If not for the internet’s harsh criticism, I wouldn’t have known about this condition.”
Now, Amy is relieved to know that she’s in good health. As she wrote in her News Not Noise newsletter in February 2024, “Learning that my type of Cushing syndrome will resolve itself and that I am healthy was the best news I could have received.
In March 2022, I experienced an incredibly alarming incident while having breakfast with my husband Justin. As I wasn’t immediately sure what was happening, I couldn’t respond when he asked if I was okay. When I tried to speak, I found myself unable to form a sentence and noticed that the right side of my face was drooping.
Thankfully, the symptoms subsided, but Justin insisted we go to the hospital for a check-up. The doctors conducted some scans and discovered a small blood clot in my brain, which they classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further investigation revealed that I had a hole in my heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). It seemed that the blood clot had traveled into my heart, escaped through this hole, and made its way to my brain.
I underwent a successful PFO closure procedure at the University of California, Los Angeles, and I’m now feeling wonderful. Justin was by my side throughout the entire ordeal, providing comfort and support during this challenging time.
In the same year that Hailey went through her health crisis, Justin also encountered one of his own. Specifically, in June 2022, Justin Bieber revealed he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that led to temporary paralysis on various parts of his face. This diagnosis forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In an Instagram video, he explained, “This virus attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves, causing full paralysis on this side of my face.” He added that he couldn’t blink one eye, smile on one side of his face, or move one nostril. The condition even made it progressively harder for him to eat. However, after some time, the paralysis subsided.
Hailey shared in a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America that Justin was “doing really well” and “feeling a lot better.” She emphasized that while the situation was scary and seemingly random, Justin would make a full recovery, expressing her gratitude for his health.
Initially guarding the details of his hospitalization in April 2023, Jamie Foxx eventually shared his ordeal publicly. In his 2024 Netflix special, “What Had Happened Was…”, the Academy Award winner recounted the incident, saying, “One day in Atlanta, I had such a severe headache that I asked my friend for an aspirin. Before I could take it, I passed out and lost consciousness for about 20 days.”
Upon being examined by a doctor, he was given a cortisone injection and sent home. However, his sister Deidra Dixon became concerned and drove him to the hospital where they discovered he had suffered a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.
Twenty days after undergoing surgery, Foxx awoke on May 4th in a wheelchair and was unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. “All I can say is that I am grateful for every prayer,” he said, “because I needed every one of them.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this:
In 2019, much like how I portrayed intense battle scenes on the set of Game of Thrones, I faced my own real-life battle – one that was far from the fictional world. This battle was titled “A Battle for My Life,” an essay I penned for The New Yorker.
One day at the gym, a severe headache drove me to the restroom where I fell ill gravely. The pain, described as shooting, stabbing, and constricting, intensified, and I knew my brain was damaged. Rushed to the hospital for a scan, the diagnosis was grim – a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. I had suffered an aneurysm, an arterial rupture.
Undergoing immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm, the pain was unbearable. During recovery, I experienced aphasia and found myself muttering nonsense. A week later, the aphasia passed, and I was discharged from the hospital after a month-long stay.
In 2013, during another brain scan, I learned that a growth had doubled in size, requiring yet another surgery. “When they woke me,” I wrote, “I was screaming in pain. The procedure had failed. I had a massive bleed, and the doctors warned that my chances of surviving were precarious if they didn’t operate again. This time, they needed to access my brain through my skull.”
Thankfully, I am now completely healed and at 100%.
Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, expresses her gratitude towards her family. After experiencing a severe stroke in January 2024, they were quick to be by her side. “I texted them that I just had a stroke and sent them a picture,” she shared with TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024. “Everyone came to my aid.”
However, due to other health issues, Cori’s hospital stay was prolonged beyond her initial expectations. “I could have gone home after the stroke,” she continued from the set of ‘Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story’. “But my lupus wasn’t cooperating and my kidneys were failing. There was a lot happening.”
Today, Cori is on the road to recovery. “I’m doing well,” she added. “I just needed to work on some motor skills, but other than that, I was okay.
Shailene Woodley had a challenging period in her 20s concerning her health. She experienced issues such as losing hearing, struggling with long walks, and stomach pain from food. Her condition was complex, with various doctors providing different diagnoses.
Determined to find answers, Shailene, who has a holistic background and studies herbalism, sought help from both mainstream medical professionals and independent healers. This journey lasted for ten years. During this time, she also grappled with the emotional consequences of her physical discomfort, including fear of food, body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and feelings of insecurity within herself.
After addressing both her physical and mental health issues, Shailene is now feeling much better and can proudly say that she is healthy.
