The Tautumeitas band consists of six female musicians: the sisters Asnate Rancane and Aurielia Rancane, along with Laura Licite, Gabriela Zvaigznite, Annemaria Moiseja, and Katie Slisane.

10 years back, the band took shape, and they selected their name, which translates to “young woman” in English. This moniker symbolizes their personal identities as contemporary women, while also reflecting their commitment to preserving their cultural heritage.

In simple terms, Tautumeitas emerged victorious in Supernova 2025, the competition that selects Latvia’s entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest. Their song Bur Man Laimi secured them the opportunity to represent Latvia at Eurovision 2025.
