In the latest updates about Kojima Productions’ “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach”, numerous details have emerged following multiple hands-on previews that delved deeply into the game for around 30 hours each. Not only that, but there are also fresh gameplay elements showcasing various features and upgrades. You can watch a 15-minute demonstration of these new aspects, brought to you by Famitsu.

The images stand out right away, particularly the mountain ranges that Sam can roughly make his way through (while noticing events such as landslides). Potential dangers like duststorms and abrupt changes in water levels require careful handling too.

As a gamer, I can tell you about the thrilling combat system where scoring a headshot sends me into a short, exhilarating slow-motion sequence for better aiming. For those preferring stealth, there’s an option for non-lethal bolas guns. Or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can hurl an electric rod at an enemy, causing damage in the surrounding area and stunning them (although it does create noise and potentially attract attention).

In addition, the latest version of BT, known as Watcher, is briefly demonstrated. It’s seen visually tracking Sam and relentlessly pursuing him through the mud. Furthermore, there’s a massive, dried-up skull adorned with tendrils that acts as a formidable boss (with a difficult-to-hit weak spot). Lastly, there’s an octopus-like mechanical creature that hurls cars at you.
