Previously under fire due to the use of reused cartridge parts by manufacturers Limited Run Games and Retro-Bit Gaming, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution will soon sashay onto PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, expected this summer.
If you’re new here, let me tell you that this game has a fascinating history. It was initially conceived for development way back in 2002 when a demo version was created for Game Boy Advance and presented to publishers. However, due to lackluster sales of the Game Boy Color version, the project was rejected by companies. Eventually, WayForward decided to put it on hold until it was revived again in 2023.

Previously discussed, you currently have the option to purchase Game Boy Advance (GBA) cartridges. However, the home console version is set to launch soon. This new release will feature old-school puzzle platforming, pixelated graphics, and a Battle Mode that supports up to four players. Additionally, you’ll be able to select between traditional and contemporary user interfaces, although it remains unclear why one would opt for the more modern option.
We really enjoy the Shantae series, and this game in particular has a captivating plot that’s caught our attention. Are you ready for another Arabian-themed journey? Show some enthusiasm in the comment section beneath!
