Build the ultimate Surface Pro 12-inch with these new accessories

Kensington is introducing a line of new accessories for the latest Microsoft Surface Pro. These include the BlackBelt EQ Rugged Case, MagPro Elite Magnetic Privacy Screen, and an Elevated Stand designed specifically for the Surface Pro. These accessories have been developed in partnership with Microsoft and will be available first in North America.

12-inch Surface Pro pre-orders are set to ship out on May 20, 2025. Kensington, in the meantime, has announced that their new line of accessories for the Surface Pro 12-inch will be made available shortly, both via their official website and through partners. Unfortunately, they have yet to disclose the pricing details for these accessories.

The recently unveiled Surface Pro with a 12-inch screen might find itself competing for top spots in the 2-in-1 laptop category. Initial reactions to the Surface Pro 12-inch have been positive, and its sleek design is drawing attention.

The compact 12-inch Surface Pro, with its sleek rounded edges and user-friendly design, makes it an ideal travel buddy or for individuals who frequently move around the office. Underneath its sleek exterior, it’s boosted by a more responsive-than-expected Snapdragon X Plus processor.

Daniel Rubino, our Editor-in-Chief, is currently testing out the 12-inch Surface Pro. In contrast to the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor found in an HONOR 14-inch laptop, the Snapdragon X Plus in the Surface Pro 12-inch performs better on single-core tasks (2,344) and is only slightly slower on multi-core tasks (11,427).

Despite delivering similar performance as an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H series processor, the 12-inch Surface Pro stands out with its fanless construction, featuring no vents. Moreover, it boasts superior battery life compared to other Intel-based computers in its class.

For an improved Surface Pro 12-inch usage, particularly for those using it professionally, consider these latest accessories from Kensington.

The BlackBelt EQ Tough Case boasts a rough, fitting exterior for the Surface Pro 12-inch, ensuring no port obstruction. The rear of the case comes equipped with an adaptable hand strap that lets the gadget rest flat when idle.

Kensington emphasizes that the BlackBelt EQ Rugged Case surpasses the required standards, as stated in their announcement post. More specifically, this case has passed the MIL-STD-810H testing methods for shock resistance (Method 516.8) and resistance to contamination by fluids (Method 504.3).

The MagPro Elite Magnetic Privacy Screen is designed to adhere using magnets, meaning it doesn’t need any harmful adhesive that might harm the screen of your Surface Pro 12-inch or leave unwanted residue behind. Once attached, this accessory restricts the viewing angles of the Surface Pro 12-inch to approximately plus or minus 30 degrees.

Beyond enhancing privacy, the MagPro Elite Magnetic Privacy Screen offers an additional benefit of blocking up to 30% of blue light, helping to alleviate eye strain. It also minimizes glare, providing an added advantage.

As a analyst, I’d rephrase it as follows: This elevated stand designed primarily for the latest PC models, not just the Surface Pro 12-inch, enables adjustment of devices to a height near my eyes and offers tilting functionality for optimal viewing angles.

Organizing cables at the rear of the stand helps keep things tidy, and it’s convenient that you can flatten the stand for storage when it’s not needed.
