On May 13, when she steps up to give testimony at the ongoing robbery trial in Paris from last month, she’ll be reliving what she has termed “the most terrifying experience” she’s encountered throughout her life.

9 men and a woman are facing charges for robbery and kidnapping in relation to an armed theft that took place on October 3, 2016. This incident involved Kim being forced into her apartment’s bathtub at the Hôtel de Pourtalès while thieves stole jewelry worth millions of dollars, including her 20-carat diamond engagement ring from her then-spouse, Kanye West.

Investigations suggest that out of the ten individuals, five were present at the crime scene where the robbery took place. Among the accused, who go by the name “Granddad Robbers” due to their advanced age, two have admitted to their role in the crime. The remaining eight, however, have all denied any involvement.

One of the acknowledged culprits, 71-year-old Yunice Abbas, stated in his 2021 book titled “I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian” that he functioned as a watchman on the ground floor reception area of the hotel, but he did not personally menace Kim. In simpler terms, he was present at the hotel’s reception, but he didn’t directly threaten Kim Kardashian himself.

On April 29th, as reported by the BBC, Abbas expressed his remorse for his actions, stating, “At the moment, I merely took her handbag; however, I now understand that there was more to it – a deep emotional impact.

Initially, there were twelve individuals accused, however, over the course of more than eight years, one individual has passed away, and it’s reported that another is currently too unwell to face trial.

According to Kim, two individuals wearing masks confronted her in French, causing her alarm. They repeatedly demanded something from her, using the phrase “The ring, the ring.” It turned out they were asking for her engagement ring, which she had left by the bed. So, she handed over her ring and he unexpectedly grabbed her. At that moment, she was wearing a robe without anything underneath it.

Blinking back tears, Kim added, “I don’t want to ruin my makeup.”

Kim went on to say, “He seized me and dragged me close. At that moment, I realized I wasn’t wearing any protective clothing, so I braced myself for the inevitable, thinking, ‘This is it, this is when I’m going to be sexually assaulted. Just accept it, it’s about to happen, prepare yourself.’ And so, I did.
