Bindi Irwin’s health has had its ups and downs.
Just hours before the 26-year-old needed emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix on May 10th, Bindi expressed her appreciation for her progress in dealing with her endometriosis.
She shared with TopMob News that it’s been a long and arduous trip, accompanied by her brother Robert Irwin and mom Terri Irwin. “I feel deeply saddened,” she said, “because many women I encounter have endured years upon years of their lives grappling for answers and assistance in dealing with endometriosis. My aspiration is that by disclosing my own experiences, my aim is to inspire others to keep advocating for themselves.
Actually, Bindi, who recently attended a gala in Las Vegas to honor her deceased father Steve Irwin, shared that her personal encounter happened approximately 10 years prior to receiving a diagnosis.
She expressed that her goal is to assist others who are in similar situations, stating, ‘I feel so fortunate to have such a supportive network, be it my family or chosen family.’ Women often need to select their support system during challenging times. It’s crucial to surround yourself with people who uplift you, as cancer can also be a lonely journey.
I’ve found myself saying, ‘The weight of every shattered arrangement, every yearning to be a part of the world, yet finding myself unable, leaves me unbearably alone.'”
Or, in a more conversational tone: “It’s like this constant struggle where you just want to join in on life, but it feels like one canceled plan after another is keeping me apart. I can’t help but feel incredibly isolated.
The reason this wildlife conservationist, who is a mother to a 4-year-old daughter named Grace Warrior and married to Chandler Powell, is so passionate about raising awareness, is because she wants to make an impact, and indeed, it has already done so.
bindi explained, “I’ve encountered numerous compassionate doctors over time, and they always request that I describe my symptoms and feelings. This helps them improve their care for future patients. It’s this approach that has truly inspired me to advocate for the medical community to prioritize women, girls, and families.
On the eve of her emergency appendix surgery in Las Vegas, Bindi Irwin shared an update about her health journey, which unfortunately forced her to miss her family’s annual Steve Irwin Gala that was scheduled for May 10th.
During the event where his sister was unable to attend, Robert told People, “She had planned to come to Las Vegas and attend the gala. Despite being in a great deal of discomfort and pain, she decided to push through, saying ‘I’m just going to tough it out, I’m going for it.’ However, the surgeon advised, ‘Your appendix needs to be removed.’
Fortunately, the operation turned out well. Although Bindi was unable to attend this year’s event, the gala’s purpose continues to be a top priority in all that the Irwins undertake.
Terri informed TopMob that our mission is global: to safeguard both wild habitats and the people who cherish them, as well as the wildlife themselves. We’re incredibly proud of the work we do in this regard, but it’s crucial now more than ever to intensify our efforts in habitat preservation and wildlife care.
She went on to express that we should take time to understand the essence of Steve and his enduring impact. In her own words, he once told her, “What truly matters is for people to recall my message, not me as a person. That’s who I am.

In April 2025, the former star of “Beverly Hills, 90210” shared that he was recuperating following an operation due to his appendix being on the verge of rupturing.
A week ago, Brian shared in an Instagram video that he began experiencing abdominal discomfort. This led him to visit the emergency room where it was discovered he had a nearly ruptured appendix.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”
Adam Devine revealed that the injuries he suffered from being struck by a cement truck at age 11 continue to impact him up until now.
In an episode of the “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” podcast from 2025, Devine expressed that it had been a very difficult ordeal for him. He explained that he has been experiencing muscle spasms throughout his body. Moreover, he shared that doctors had informed him earlier this year that he was close to death.
He mentioned that pain occasionally appears and disappears, stating, “My body seems to have several quirks and minor issues.
Previously featured on Bachelor Nation, this individual disclosed that he had to visit the hospital, moving on hands and knees because of intense lower back pain that worsened during a camping trip with a companion in an RV.
In the March 2025 episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast, he commented that his legs were still numb from toes to knees, which was surprising. To give some context, let me clarify that just a few weeks prior, he might have been squatting around 295 pounds. Yet, as things stand now, he’s unable to perform even a single-leg squat without falling over. It seems like he’s experienced some sort of incident similar to a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
In the chilling winter of December 2024, during a heated AHL game, I found myself on the receiving end of a misfortune when a fellow player’s skate sliced through my flesh. The injury required a total of 25 stitches to mend. As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, I fought my way back to health. When I was finally fully recovered, my father, the esteemed general manager of the New Jersey Devils, Tom Fitzgerald, expressed his relief in an interview with ESPN. He humbly admitted, “We feel incredibly fortunate. I wouldn’t wish such an experience on any parent.
Back in March 2025, Gina Kirschenheiter from The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that her former spouse, Matt Kirschenheiter, had experienced a heart attack. Fortunately, he managed to pull through this challenging situation.
30 Rock’s lead actor experienced a medical emergency during a New York Knicks match at Madison Square Garden in March 2025, resulting in him being transported from the venue on a stretcher.
Yesterday, I experienced a bout of food poisoning, which I took to social media to share with my followers. Thankfully, I’m already seeing improvement and am on the path to recovery.
In February 2025, the former star of Even Stevens disclosed that she had been accidentally shot in the face during a clay pigeon shooting excursion, which they organized to celebrate her husband Brendan Rooney’s birthday.
She posted on Instagram, “Another group with us accidentally discharged their firearm incorrectly and it struck me in the face.” “@thebrendanrooney quickly responded, examined me, and hurried me to the hospital. I was wounded in five spots, one was mere inches away from hitting my right eye directly.
The former star of “Kim Possible” added, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck at the back of my eye, and it’s not safe for surgery right now. My doctors are keeping a close watch on me (for now, I can see clearly).
The actress expressed her deep appreciation for being alive, stating, “I hold my loved ones – my daughters, husband, family, and friends – so dearly. A moment ago, I felt like I was glimpsing my entire life, and let me tell you, cherish the people nearby whenever you can. Life, in its unpredictability, can alter in a heartbeat.
Although the internet can sometimes be unkind, Amy Schumer is grateful that it provided her with answers in this instance. Recalling an episode of Call Her Daddy in January 2025, she said, “The internet really let me have it after a series of interviews, and I was like, ‘Alright everyone, calm down.'” However, medical professionals began commenting and suggested that she might be suffering from Cushing syndrome due to unusually high cortisol levels or steroid injections.
Upon learning this, Amy realized, “Wait, I’ve been receiving steroid injections for my scars.” As the creator of Life & Beth, she had undergone a breast reduction and a C-section, among other procedures, which led to these injections.
“I had been getting these steroid injections,” Amy explained. “So it seems that I developed Cushing syndrome due to this, something I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t relentlessly criticized me.”
Now, Amy is simply relieved to know she’s healthy. As she wrote in a February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, “Learning that the type of Cushing syndrome I have will resolve itself and that I am well was the best news I could have hoped for.
In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a truly terrifying incident during breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber. As she recounted on YouTube a month later, she suddenly started experiencing stroke-like symptoms, including facial drooping and difficulty speaking.
Hailey shared that Justin asked if she was alright, but she didn’t respond because she wasn’t sure. When he asked again, she tried to reply, but couldn’t. The right side of her face had begun to droop, and she struggled to form a sentence.
Though the facial drooping subsided, Hailey went to the hospital as a precaution. She revealed that medical tests confirmed she had experienced a small blood clot in her brain, which was classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA).
Further examination at the University of California, Los Angeles, revealed that Hailey had a hole in her heart called patent foramen ovale (PFO). The blood clot had traveled into her heart through this hole, escaped, and made its way to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey underwent a successful PFO closure procedure and reported feeling well since then.
In the same year Hailey encountered a health issue, Justin Bieber also experienced one. Specifically, in June 2022, the “Baby” singer revealed his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition affecting the nerves in his ear and face, leading to temporary paralysis and necessitating the cancellation of the rest of his Justice World Tour. In an Instagram video at the time, he explained that the virus was attacking the nerve in his ear and facial nerves, causing full paralysis on one side of his face. He mentioned that eating had become increasingly difficult for him, but fortunately, the paralysis subsided over time. Hailey commented on a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, feeling much better despite the sudden and frightening situation. She expressed her gratitude that he was okay in the end.
Jamie Foxx initially preferred to keep quiet about his hospitalization in April 2023, but later shared his experience. In Atlanta, he recalled saying, “I was experiencing such a severe headache, so I asked my friend for an aspirin.” However, before he could get the aspirin, he fainted and lost consciousness for 20 days.
Initially examined by a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, his concerned sister Deidra Dixon then drove him to another hospital. There, they discovered that Jamie had suffered a brain bleed which led to a stroke. After a 20-day stay in the hospital following surgery, he woke up on May 4 in a wheelchair and was unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
“I want to express my gratitude for every prayer,” he said, “because I relied on every prayer.
Actress Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, filmed intense battle scenes but in 2019, penned an essay titled “A Battle for My Life” in The New Yorker.
At the gym, she recounts experiencing a severe headache that led to vomiting profusely. The pain intensified, and she realized her brain was injured.
Admitted to the hospital for a scan, she was diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a dangerous type of stroke caused by bleeding in the space surrounding the brain. She had an aneurysm, an arterial rupture.
Undergoing immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm, she described the pain as unbearable. Recovering from the operation, she struggled with aphasia and spoke nonsensically.
A week later, her aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month’s stay.
In 2013, a growth on her brain was discovered to have doubled in size, requiring another surgery. “When they woke me,” she wrote, “I was screaming in pain. The procedure had failed. My chances of survival were precarious if they didn’t operate again. This time, they needed to access my brain through my skull.”
Fortunately, Emilia is now reportedly at full health and recovering well.
As a lifestyle expert, let me rephrase the text in a personal and conversational tone:
In early 2024, I, Cori Broadus, experienced a severe stroke that left me feeling vulnerable and scared. In that moment of need, my loved ones were there for me like never before. I remember reaching out to them, sending a picture and a text, and within minutes, they rushed to my side. Everyone came to my rescue, providing the support I needed during such a difficult time.
Unfortunately, due to additional health issues related to lupus, I ended up staying in the hospital for longer than anticipated. My kidneys were failing, and there was a lot going on. However, with their unwavering support, I made it through.
Today, I’m proud to say that I am on the mend. I still have some work to do with my motor skills, but overall, I feel great. I can’t thank my loved ones enough for standing by me during this challenging time in my life. Their love and support truly made all the difference.
During her twenties, the actress Shailene Woodley encountered numerous health challenges. To the point where she started losing her hearing, had difficulty walking for extended periods due to exhaustion, and experienced chronic stomach pain from almost every food she ate. This prolonged period of ill health also led to mental struggles such as fear of food, body dysmorphia, confusion about identity, and a feeling of insecurity within herself.
However, Shailene, who has a background in holistic medicine, decided not to disclose the specific condition she was dealing with. Instead, she sought help from both traditional medical professionals and alternative healers. This journey of healing took over a decade but eventually led to her regaining her physical health. Now, the actress from Big Little Lies is feeling much better and expressed gratitude for her improved state of health.
