Activision is planning to carry on the popular Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series by releasing a remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4.
The logical move is to approach Tony Hawk’s Underground, the narrative-centric advancement of the series; however, will we actually proceed with this?
According to Screen Rant, they posed the query to the creator himself, and it appears he’s interested in returning to the THUG franchise. However, it will ultimately be up to Activision to decide on this matter.
Speaking as a gaming enthusiast and skateboarding legend, here’s what I can say about bringing back the beloved Tony Hawk series: “There’s always a spark of ambition in me. However, it’s more often than not beyond my control.
“I’ll campaign all I can, but I’m working with a much bigger company that’s a lot smarter than me.”
Hawk indicates that a potential THUG remake is still up for debate, hinting that the success of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 could influence this decision.
It appears that things are uncertain for now, but it looks like Tony Hawk himself is keen on a reboot of the THUG series. If the combination of THUG 3 and THUG 4 proves successful, we might witness a remake of the Underground games coming to life.
