The Sinking City Remastered now available

The revamped open-world detective game, “The Sinking City Remastered,” has been released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Developers Frogwares revealed this news. If you already own “The Sinking City” on any of these platforms, you’ll receive the upgrade for free.

According to Frogwares Publishing Director Sergiy Oganesyan in a statement, they have big plans for “The Sinking City” [intellectual property]. This will kick off with the sequel, followed by more developments. After their challenging experiences with the initial release, this optimistic phase is particularly rewarding for them to be part of “The Sinking City’s” unusual storyline and to have control over its future direction. To express gratitude to fans who have stood by them through thick and thin, they will make the game free for all existing supporters.

Initially launched in June 2019, this game was crafted using Unreal Engine 4. The upcoming enhanced version is currently being designed with Unreal Engine 5, promising an improved visual aesthetic and incorporating some sought-after user convenience enhancements. Key improvements in the remaster are:

  • Game fully relit in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Enhanced locations with additional levels of detail and objects.
  • 4K textures and improved reflections.
  • Addition of a Photo Mode.
  • Support for DLSS, FSR, and TSR upscaling.
