Kamie Crawford Spills on Nev Split After Leaving Catfish

Kamie Crawford is keeping it real.

Following her departure from MTV’s Catfish in October, Kamie recently disclosed details about the current state of their friendship with Nev Schulman.

She shared with TopMob News during the Webby Awards in NYC on May 12 that we are not currently working together, but she remains in touch with many cast members from the show, including the Catfish crew. Therefore, she is extremely content.

Although Kamie is no longer actively involved with the MTV show, there are many exciting things on her horizon for the future.

The 32-year-old expressed feeling fantastic, truthfully. They feel there’s an abundance of opportunities yet to come for them. Working on ‘Catfish’ for six years was truly remarkable, something they wouldn’t give up for anything. They are incredibly proud of the achievements on the show. However, what excites them most is embarking on their own production projects and taking ownership as more than just a host.

Which led to her decision to leave Catfish.

She commented, “I find six years in a job to be quite an extended period.” Many individuals do not stay in the same positions for such lengths of time. Consequently, I feel it was high time for me to venture out on my own, and I’m genuinely thrilled about this new adventure.

When Kamie shared on Instagram that she was leaving the show Catfish, MTV commented saying she would forever be considered a part of their family. Meanwhile, the Catfish account expressed gratitude towards her with several heart emojis and the words “Thank you for everything.

Don’t expect her to make a future cameo, either. As she shared, “think I’ve had my fill.”

Yet, Kamie, whose “Relationsh*t” podcast earned a 2025 Webby award, continues to express strong feelings towards the show’s mission.

She’s been quite open on the program about her feelings towards simply discovering love, in general,” she continued. “I believe that people can find love in unusual spots. I don’t pass judgment. I strive to just listen and give them a chance to express themselves. As such, I feel my job there is complete.
