This purr-fectly priced game will only set you back $14.99. So, get ready to embark on an enchanting narrative journey with our feline friends soon!

Copycat first launched for PC via Steam on September 19, 2024.

Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:

The game “Copycat” is a story-focused indie title about a pet learning to cope with being left alone, and a person facing the harsh reality of giving up something dear. This duo embarks on a voyage to uncover the essence of family and belonging. The game’s vibrant graphics stimulate your senses as it delves into profound themes. Strap in for an emotional ride that tugs at your heartstrings, reminding you of the pain of being abandoned.>

The story unfolds around Dawn, a cat from the shelter with a dubious outlook. She yearns for freedom in the wild rather than another adoption. In truth, Dawn considers herself a natural-born wildcat and is eagerly waiting for an opportunity to break free.

As Dawn encounters the new owner, Olive – a solitary elderly Australian woman grieving over the loss of her cherished pet – she starts having doubts. However, as time passes, a profound bond forms between them, similar to two damaged hearts healing each other and eventually beating in harmony.

When Olive gets sick, everything shifts, and an unclaimed cat resembling Dawn moves into the house, displacing Dawn who is then compelled to live on the streets.

Explore narrow streets, walls, and roofs while discovering the genuine essence of belonging. The leisurely pace of the game offers you a chance to immerse yourself in feelings of affection, solitude, and release as you advance through the narrative.

The production titled “Copycat” boasts an entirely vocal performance, with numerous dialogues spread across hours, delivered by a skilled ensemble of voice actors. The original soundtrack was composed by the gifted Daniel Bunting.
