Nintendo has stirred up debate with various pricing choices regarding the Switch 2, such as the expensive improvements to a select number of Switch 1 games like “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” “Kirby and the Forgotten Land,” and others. However, it’s also worth noting that Nintendo has announced plans for smaller, free updates to several other first-party Nintendo Switch games, offering minor enhancements tailored for the Switch 2.
Among the games listed are Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. As announced by Nintendo, these two games will receive a free upgrade that enhances their frame rate, improves visuals, and optimizes picture quality. This update is set to be released on both games on June 5, which coincides with the launch date of the Switch 2.
Additional games that will also benefit from comparable free upgrades for Nintendo Switch 2 are titles such as “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom,” “The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening,” “Super Mario Odyssey,” “Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury,” and several others.
