It seems that the selection for PlayStation Plus Premium in May is disappointing, as the only fresh inclusion is the long-forgotten first-person shooter from PS2, Battle Engine Aquila.

View Urgent ForecastTo be completely honest, I’ve noticed a rather unsettling trend this month – I seem to be losing more subscribers than I’m gaining. It’s quite puzzling because the streaming support for some beloved first-party PlayStation 3 games, like Resistance: Fall of Man, has mysteriously stopped working.
To date in 2025, Sony’s premium subscription service has only added around 10 classic films at a rate that’s extremely slow given its yearly cost of £120/$160. It’s worth noting that this subscription also offers cloud streaming (including to a PS Portal handheld) and a few extra PSVR2 titles, although these will be phased out soon as well.
4% find it offers good value for money, while 52% express their current dissatisfaction with it, which is quite low, considering that at the end of last year, it appeared as if Sony was improving the subscription service after adding titles like the Sly Cooper series and others.
Interestingly, just following the conclusion of this Push Square poll, Nintendo revealed that they’re adding Killer Instinct Gold to their Switch Online service, which has been outshining PS Plus Premium lately with its selection of retro games. In a matter of weeks, the successor console (Switch 2) will also provide access to GameCube games.
