Fortnite update today (16th May): What changes in the patch notes?

Fortnite has now entered downtime for patch v35.10, and it’s a doozy.

The release of the patch was initially planned for yesterday, specifically on May 15th. However, due to a recent update on Twitter (now referred to as X), it has been postponed.

Despite any problems that Epic Games may have experienced, they’ve resolved them with an upcoming patch – here’s a look at what’s included in today’s Fortnite update.

Fortnite update today (16th May): What changes in the patch notes?

In the latest update, version 35.10, dubbed “Chew on This,” it’s highly likely that the beloved character from Star Wars, Chewbacca the Wookiee, will make an appearance within the game.

Engaging in conversation with him rewards you with his formidable Wookiee Bowcaster, a weapon from the previous year that, when fully charged, can nearly defeat enemies with a single shot.

Besides the Bowcaster, you’ll now find the freshly introduced CA-87 Jawa Scatter Blaster too in the collection, hidden within treasure chests scattered throughout the island.

Regarding the outer appearance, you’ll be able to acquire the General Grievous Outfit by unlocking it from the Battle Pass, and there will also be a few more Grievous-themed accessories made available.

According to a well-known leaker, ShiinaBR, there’s speculation about the introduction of a new Jar Jar Binks costume, possibly depicting Darth Jar Jar, as well as a fresh take on The Mandalorian.

Last night, the Item Shop brought back the Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala character skins for purchase.

It’s quite possible that adjustments for balance and bug repairs will be implemented too, though Epic Games hasn’t shared details about them just yet.
