Recall Blue Protocol, the anime-style MMORPG from Bandai Namco that ceased operation in Japan earlier this year and had its Western release postponed indefinitely after multiple delays? It’s set to return as Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, developed by BOKURA and published by A PLUS JAPAN for PC (available on Steam and the Epic Games Store), as well as mobile platforms like iOS and Android.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement! The latest trailer has given us a green light for the global release of the MMO, “Star Resonance,” later this year. Not only does this mean it’s coming to all platforms, but cross-play between them is a reality too! Plus, we get to keep our progression as we switch platforms, thanks to cross-progression.
Since BOKURA acquired the property from Bandai Namco, “Star Resonance” has been beefed up with fresh features and optimizations. For instance, the game world is now bigger, and traversing it seamlessly is a breeze, as detailed on Resetera.
The plot takes an entirely new turn, and while we’ll initially offer seven classes at launch, there are plans to introduce another Healer character later on. Additionally, housing features will be added post-launch. Keep an eye out for updates such as a definite release date and gameplay demonstrations in the upcoming months.
