As a fellow gamer, I stumbled upon a captivating screenshot on Reddit’s r/kingdomhearts page showcasing King Mickey in Kingdom Hearts 4. This intriguing image finds Mickey stealthily navigating through the rafters of a library, reminiscent of gameplay mechanics from previous installments.
On the left side of the screenshot, there’s an impressive banner bearing a regal emblem – a nod to the original world, Scala ad Caelum (Stairway to Heaven). This location held significant importance in Kingdom Hearts 3 and was confirmed to be based on Daybreak Town from Kingdom Hearts Unchained X.
In the lore of Kingdom Hearts, Scala ad Caelum is the central hub for all worlds, with a rich history deeply intertwined with the Ancient Keyblade Masters’ legacy.
In the games Kingdom Hearts 3 and Re: Mind, players got a sneak peek at Scala ad Caelum; however, one user pointed out that it also appeared in Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. At the conclusion of the story, Yen Sid shares the tale about how young Xehanort entered Quadratum, which he’s been studying intensely since then.
